I feel like I've just come out of 2+ years of burnout. So I'm still really careful, as I can easily dip back into it. For me, burnout is kind of like the freeze-nervous system response. I might have all these ideas and want to take action (mentally activated), but physically, I can't bring myself to do it. It's a deep tiredness that I cannot fix with sleep! I actually didn't fully feel the burnout until after I left survival mode (I moved back home, and my body completely crashed in that feeling of comfort and support). I still feel it as a freeze response, but I now have tools to overcome it. At the start, I mostly needed to change my diet, rest, and rebalance my body through herbs/ guided detox protocols. Since then, I've aligned my diet, daily habits, exercise, and rest with my natural constitution through an understanding of medical astrology and through the TCM and Bach Flower Remedies.
