Huge congratulations to @Ilja Osthoff ! 🎉 This post won our Advertising Content spotlight, and we are pinning it because it brings such a strong, clear, and professional angle to a topic many people misunderstand. Ilja is a doctor, anesthesiologist, intensive care and emergency medicine specialist, and he uses hypnosis as a real clinical tool, not as entertainment or “woo-woo” content. The Hypnosis Lab was created for people who want hypnosis explained and practiced in a serious, science-based way. No courses to buy. No upsells. Just a free community for people who take hypnosis seriously. Go check it out and support Ilja here: skool.com/the-hypnosis-lab-2076 Question for everyone: Have you ever experienced hypnosis before, or are you curious to learn how it actually works?

@Noriaki Nishida Thanks so much 🙏 Bridging the gap is something I think about a lot. In the OR, I use hypnosis mainly for anxiety, pain, and procedural stress — situations where patients are highly focused and often in a natural trance-like state anyway. The honest truth? Medicine gave me the “why” — the physiology, the evidence. Hypnosis gave me the “how” — actually reaching the patient. Both together work better than either alone. That’s actually why I built this community — to explore exactly that question with others who are curious about it. What’s your background — are you coming from a clinical angle too? 👇

I run ultras. 50k, 80k, sometimes more. Mountains. Heat. Hours alone in your own head. At some point, the legs are fine. The mind isn’t. That’s when I got serious about hypnosis — not as a therapist, but as an athlete. I’m an anesthesiologist and emergency physician. I’ve been using hypnotic communication clinically for years. But it was trail running that showed me how powerful the mind really is. Fear before a race. The mental spiral at kilometer 60. The voice that says stop — when your body could actually keep going. That’s what I work with now. 👉 Athletes who freeze under pressure 👉 People with specific fears and phobias 👉 Anyone whose mind is the limiting factor — not their body Hypnosis isn’t mysticism. It’s neuroscience with a bad reputation. And when it’s applied by someone who runs the same trails and treats trauma in the ER — it hits differently. If you’re curious what this actually looks like in practice, feel free to reach out.
