Hello
Hey my names Paul, I was mainly in construction but now I aspire to start my truck dispatching business. Watching Gills videos made me feel like this was the next step I needed to take in life. I would love for people that have has success in this line of work to interact with me and maybe share some tip/ things to avoid doing when starting up. As for my interests, I enjoy playing sports, listening to music and cooking. I'm really looking forward to what the future holds, thank you.

@Paul Oraj Hey Paul. I'm new here too. I am the similar...I watched a lot of trucking videos, then migrated to dispatching videos, and ran across Gurpreet's videos. I see a lot of people "passionate" about things and promise "the next great thing", so of course I approach with skepticism. But I truly do hope that I find a lot of value in this course, I find it to be as attainable as several people have made it seem in their YT videos. And I would also like to interact with those who have progressed through this industry, specifically those who started their own dispatching services after finishing this "lite" course and are rocking it now (or at least finding a decent level of success at it).

@Paul Oraj I agree. That is why I am here. I've sorted through all sorts of riff-raff...some legit, some semi-legit, and many that are just full of bunk. I know dispatching is a legit business. I know I've watched 50-plus hours of dispatcher videos that seem to echo the same sentiment. I'm looking forward to seeing if it makes a good fit for me (or I make a good fit for it).
What are your thoughts on DAT sharing ?
Hey i have a very tight budget , i wanna get on to the course too , and i also want to have a loadboard , i have a choice to either go for one . I have heard you can get screens for DAT for very cheap. I know its not the bst option , but would help me jump start my journey as a dispatcher . and also hop on to the course. P.s ( Im broke ,but i dont want this to stop me , i have to make a decision ) . Give your valueable insights, should i go for DAT screen like until i dont have the money to get the orignal thing ? Plus i think i also would'nt need a carrier mc to login , as it would already be set up . i wanna start cheap but i also dont wanna compromise on the quality . People in Pakistan or india or bangladesh link up !!

@Gurpreet Gill , thanks for the info (in addition to you and your brother putting this course on). I take it the MC requirement in DAT is because they (brokers...aka shippers' agents) wanted to work directly with drivers/MC's and weren't planning on having a dispatcher/driver's agent on there where they (dispatchers) would try to negotiate a price up. What is your take on this?

@Gurpreet Gill Thanks for the feedback. Makes sense. Why is it that dispatchers are the only party in the chain that don't have a MC#?
👋 Hi, I’m Joshua!
Hi my name is Joshua Ward. I'm 19, and I live in Chicago, IL and I plan on making $10,000 per month dispatching trucks. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1.  Understanding trucking logistics 2.  Lots of new freinds 3. A free scholarship to Dispatcher University For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1.  Study philosophy of religion 2.  Long car rides playing my favorite music 3. Play Video Games What's everyone's favorite music genre?

@Joshua Ward Awesome, man! I wish you the most success. If I had learned of this at 19, no telling where I'd be now.... maybe Bermuda (and not in the triangle) 😆
👋 Hi, I’m Ike!
Hi my name is Ike. I live in SouthWest Georgia and I plan on making $5-10k per month dispatching trucks. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1.  If I can start working on gaining and working my first one or two carriers/truckers while still working my current job. 2.  A secure feeling that this is truly attainable and not too saturated of a business. 3. The real ins-and-outs of successfully keeping my (future) truckers on the road and happy to have me as their dispatcher. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1.  Learning new things 2.  Woodworking 3. Singing 4. (bonus) skydiving (I used to do this, but do not live near a drop zone, so not as feasible right now)

@Chris Jeff Thanks. I don't plan on doing both together long-term. I figure I'd do one or two drivers while I am still working my job. That 1 or 2 drivers would be my "proof in concept" that this is a feasible thing for me to do. I know I wouldn't make that much off of only 1 or 2 drivers. But if I can manage them for 1 or 2 months successfully, then the (current) plan is to make a huge push to get a couple more drivers signed up as I put in my final notice at my job. By the time I have them driving, I will be focused on doing dispatching full time. Once that is the case, and I have gotten adjusted to having the new drivers, make a push to add even more drivers. Hence, the 5-10K a month goal... dispatching is not my "side-gig" plan....this is something I plan on doing long-term and full time. I only plan on keeping dispatching on the side while I am still learning the ropes and only have 1 or 2 drivers. Then, it will be time to drop my job and put everything I have into dispatching.

@Chris Jeff I consider anything that is realistic, feasible, and scalable. I've considered many things in the past, but most things I let go of quickly because I find them to be "get rich, no work" or "get rich quick", or they start asking for money up front without offering a mentorship/apprenticeship first. I feel if something is really that great, then the person pitching it wouldn't mind me training under them, making them more money while I get a small cut, until I learn the ropes and can go it on my own. As far as hard work, I don't mind the work. In nearly half a century, I have found few things out there that will pay really well without some level of hard work and hustle.
Helpful Document: Questions to Ask Brokers
I’ve generated a document with a list of questions you can ask the broker. Feel free to make a copy, modify and adapt it to suit your needs. You can access it here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fxt8Pkj05hebt8l5wIMBwfiBO_FH9r4i-mQgCXVaJA0/edit?usp=sharing

@Syed Abbas , thank you for a great insight and resource. Question... (and I don't mean it to be sarcastic) in what seems to be a fast-paced, gotta-be-quick, setting, trying to book the load before someone else snags it, how fast can you get through all those questions with the broker? That is a long list....something that I can see the answer to each of these questions would be important, but doesn't that eat up the time, going through this laundry list?

@Syed Abbas Thanks. I figured that, but being new to all things dispatch, I wanted to make sure.
