When you take an action, you’ll see results. It’s ok if it’s imperfect, because from action, intention, movement, you’ll build a foundation. You want to have a successful business and don’t know where to start? Get clear on WHY you’re doing this. Be brutally honest with yourself. Ask yourself, “am I doing this to pay the bills?” Or “fulfill a need that I see in others”, or “challenge myself?” Whatever the reason, once you know why you’re doing this, you can start to take action. If you’re doing this for financial reasons, the actions you take are going to be very different than if this is a fun, hobby or expression of creativity for the sake of personal growth. Mao here’s my question to YOU: Why are you doing this? I’ll respond with fist steps, once I see your why.

Why are you here? Why are you making candles, or wanting to make candles? This is where your brand begins! Tell us why. The more active you are in here, the more accountability you’ll have. 🕯️❤️ Your “why” is the foundation. So tell us why.

Every time you change a scent or vessel, you need to have the ideal wick for that combination! The wrong wick size is the biggest problem in candles. Having the right size wick will make the candles safer, burn cleaner and longer. There is no short cut for this part. I know it’s not fun to wick test and often seems like you’ll never get it perfect. Perfect isn’t the goal! It’s about the hot throw, (how it smells when lit), the amount of heat the vessel takes when the candle has been burning more than 2 hours, and how quickly and evenly it burns. How do you feel about this part? On a scale of 1-10 1 being, “I don’t even try!” 10 being “my wicks are ideal for every candle size/scent”
