Is your creation a hobby or a business?
So I've a question for all the creators out there (and in here of course). Do you consider what you do to be a hobby, a business, or a business potential? I started my YT channel as hobby (I found some workarounds and solutions to GoPro issues and made some videos about it). However, some of my videos were quite popular and I registered my channel as a business (and then it got monetized afterwards). The thing is, I really wish I had done that quite a number of years ago now. The fact is I'm able to bill a lot of things off as business and start up expenses. There could be more I could bill off, but I'm getting there as I become more business minded. So if there's one piece of advice I would give any creator is that from day 1, you should consider what you do as a business and treat it as such. Get an LLC, get an EIN, Keep track of each and every expense. The fact is, the sooner you start, the sooner you'll see the benefits. Just because you're a business, that doesn't hamper your creativity or your drive. What it does mean is that you can feel much freerer to pursue your creativity as now there's a way to claim back some of your expenses (which is nice come tax time) It can even drive you to create as you have goals and deadlines to meet (which can help drive you to create more content in a timely manner). Just my thoughts, I'd love to know what you think and hey, if you've any questions, feel free to ask!
Which editing software do you prefer? Why?
I have been an Adobe Premiere guy, cause that's what I have always used. Recently I started using Capcut, and i have to say I am pretty impressed. What do you use? and what's your main reasons for using it?

I also use Premier Pro and find it's actually easy to use. I think my only current issue is that my 3rd party pluggin (Ae Juice) stopped working altogether (even with a fresh install on a new laptop) so that's annoying as heck. For my phone, I mostly use "Quik" as do nearly all my filming with GoPro's, however I used Power Director in the past and honestly, found it to be pretty feature rich.

My First Video launched Today! Help me critique it!
My Friends! This is my first video I will have created for the relaunch of my channel! I have 6 videos i created in the 30 days while creating the "Building Your YouTube in 30 days" series and the first 3 (including this one) were all shot with iPhone only / No mic / Nothing special to prove that a decent video can be made regardless of your equipment! I wanted to invite you all to watch the premiere with me, and to help critique what you saw/heard! The video goes live at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm GMT+2

Overall I liked it, however I do have some criticisms (and they are meant to help only) I thought your colors were actually over saturated and unnatural looking. It actually took away from the clip not add to it. The sudden angle change at 1:08 left me thinking "why". I know it's good to mix up things using different angles, but that felt jarring and pointless. It took me out of being immersed in your video. Also when you did change angle, you were being backlit which overexposed the background and underexposed the foreground. You either need to shoot with a HDR capable camera for backlit shots or use lighting or a reflector to brighten (you) the subject while being backlit. I know I don't have a lot of free time and don't want to sit down to a 25 minute video, but honestly, I felt your video was little too short (which is a good thing, I wanted more!). Maybe aim for a 5 minute video next time. Overall though, the delivery was great and confident and was given with the air of a professional presenter. I really do look forward to the next video.
