Question for these Weeks!
Hey guys! Since I didnt get a chance to get on the call, I thought id reflect on the questions offered. I welcome everyone to share in the comments their answers as well. Where in your life right now are you being invited to stay present rather than reaching for a quick escape? What action are you being called to make? My first thought is my relationship with my roommate. Sometimes im quick to talk or focus on my piece instead of listen, sometimes out of fear. So ill work on being present with him and others that im engaged with. I believe my action is to check in, reflect things back more, and listen with an open heart and sense of goodwill.

I had started to pray / talk with GD as the first thing I do in the morning before I even get out of bed. The other day I asked what was needed of me and what direction of his should I follow. Since they the word presence and present has been coming up multiple times days with all people in my life. I take this is how GD is speaking to me and answering my question. I am not sure yet exactly how to achieve this but that is the path of presence and what I am focusing on to be present with is my relationship with him.
Quick share.
A little something I listened while pushing weight this morning. 70 degrees in ohio yall.🔥❤️👊

this was an interesting take on things. I don't agree on we should end society but i do think that technology has replaced a lot trying to be aware because of the deep insights that are so accessible to anyone at any moment. It's like a way of avoidance when insight is right in front of you.
Check-In
Good morning, gentlemen. I’ve created this dedicated thread for our weekly check-ins, a shared space to name where we are, honestly and without performance. This week, I’m checking in with a deeper relationship to stillness, something I’ve been consciously re-cultivating in my days for this year. Yesterday, that stillness opened me back up to archetypes and their role in my own growth. They have always resonated or at the least given a guide.(Huge mythology and Fantasy literature nerd here) Almost like a switch flipped, I began moving through the day as if I were a character in my own hero’s journey again. In that perspective shift, I felt a significant amount of stress, guilt, and quiet shame simply fall away, like a pack of stone falling off my back after a steep mountainous climb. Things clarified. Even how I entered my home and showed up relationally changed. That internal shift showed up physically as well. After speaking a few important truths with my partner last weekend and standing by my truths regardless of the arguments that followed, my workouts have noticeably strengthened. I’m pushing, pulling, and lifting roughly 20% more weight and volume than I was two weeks ago. It’s been a clear reminder of the real cost for me of holding things in. I’m looking forward to hearing where each of you is checking in from this week. internally, relationally, or in your bodies. Take your time. Speak from where you actually are

@Maxim Yulis You are not alone brother. You have us! What you are doing is insanely courageous and will be fulfilling beyond belief. Your experiences will cultivate a future of possibilities that none of us will have access too! You are an extremely in tuned person use that to take in the beauty around and make what isn't more beautiful!

I have personally been doing my own reconstruction of the masks that I wear and how I face the world and my relationships. Not just with romantic partners, but with those I want to engage in platonically, socially, spiritually, and in a business matter. I tend to live with a mask of judgment and being a "nice guy". Being my authentic self can feel like a bit of a jerk. This was something I use to hear my mom tell her friends on the phone while I spied in on her conversations, from the top step growing up. "Hunter is such a little jerk" she would say. Being just a little boy hearing your mother say that was something my mind tried to rationalize. What do those words mean? What does that mean about me. I was old enough to know the definition of a jerk, but not old enough to understand the deep wound a mother must have, to tell other that he is she felt about her own young child. I have been going back and listening to music that I did when I was younger, and it has stirred up emotions from the past that I still need to grieve completely. Which has me think about something. I have always had this weird confliction with my name, Hunter. I actually never hunted in my life. I always strived to be gentle and nice, especially to women. As I probably didn't want to be a "jerk". I have become tired of that nice guy persona, I am looking to become the hunter, the killer, the more savage man I have been repressing for a long time. I want to be unapologetically myself. I know it will probably splinter relationships, but it's better than the splitters I have internally. Thanks for putting together the platform Caleb!
