The peg where the strap goes on my fender acoustic guitar is slipping out whenever I put the guitar on my back. It seems that the wood has worn away a bit. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I'm looking for recommendations for ear protection when singing and playing live with speakers etc. but that will still allow me to hear myself. Any ideas?
