Having a play
I've been seeing a guy on FB sharing jokes while shrugging and decided to create a series of myth busting reels. What myth/guru rule would you like to see broken?

Show us how easy it is to have a conversation and get someone to sign up - what are the critical steps you need to share, get commitment from them and get them to want you to coach them.
When to press mute?????
I would like some ideas about how to work with a very talkative person in a group zoom call. ! I’m smiling as I write this, as I’m still thinking about the wonderful conversation we had the other day in Jule’s zoom call around listening.. . That was still foremost in my mind and It was the first call in my new free weekly meeting that I talked about in the zoom. I really want people to feel heard, but it did feel a bit like a take over bid.. I did have to step a few times to let others get a word in, and gently but firmly ask her to let people finish. There was lots of , “Oh yes it’s like… “ and at the end we got a list of her qualifications in psychology.. I’m going to admit that I really had moments of wanting to simply mute her 😱. She said several times that knew she talked too much and people found her frustrating., but that was how she was. I haven’t led many group calls, although I’ve done a lot in person. and I’d love some feed back from you lovely people.. . 🤔 I had a couple of messages afterwards from other participants , just nice thank yous and one said well done for maintaining my smile not losing patience! Hope is ok to ask this here. 🙂

Last year I taught a class on 'how to manage a meeting' - this entailed telling people before hand what the meeting was about and getting them to share their ideas before the meeting. As the person running the meeting you chose which ideas get aired and when - it allows everyone to participate even those that may stay quiet because others are jumping up and down saying 'Me Me Me'. This way you get all the ideas from the group and can discuss the best ones, not just the one from the woman that hogs the mic. You can adapt this - set boundaries, use the 30 second rule to talk and say your piece, But you cant come back till 3 other people have said something. As the person hosting the group zoom you are the conductor, you set the rules - hope this helps 💕💕💕
Rule Breaking October
I've been playing with an idea since the first AJC Guest Expert Masterclass with Amir Karkouti. He said something we've all heard a number of times. We are making everything up. Including the rules we decide that hold us back in our business. So I decided to break one of my rules, that I couldn't just call people, and I called them. I then thought how much further could I be, if I decided to break my self-created rules. This feels like a cool game to play, so who wants to play it with me? I will host a kick off Zoom at the beginning of the month and a wrap up at the end, in the middle we can all share what rules we are breaking. Who's in? Much love Jules
