I had a coffee date on Monday evening… These guys run AI-generated content on Meta using the classic: "Comment KEYWORD below" CTA. Their content is controversial by design... and it goes viral. Here's how their funnel currently works: 70,000 ManyChat messages per day 30,000 of those convert into leads 8,000 calls generated daily from those leads Those calls are monetized Plus, they sell their own offer to those 30,000 leads In short… The business is absolutely crushing it. But at that scale, their ManyChat 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥. $𝟏𝟔,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭. So I asked my tech guy, @Graham Connolly , to estimate how much money our Social Comments and Replies Android could save them. It'll take some time to calculate accurately… But I believe the 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭. Now here's where it gets interesting… During the coffee date, I asked whether every comment needed to match the exact keyword trigger for ManyChat to fire. Turns out… 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐄 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 because: a) People comment variations of the keyword b) People comment something completely different, but still show buyer intent Both are missed. That's because ManyChat largely relies on keyword triggers, predefined flows, and rule-based automation. If a comment falls outside the expected trigger? Or if someone asks a more complex question? Those opportunities get missed unless those flows are built out extensively (most don’t know how). 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. It's designed to: - Respond intelligently to comments - Catch variations in buyer intent - Handle non-keyword interactions - Reply publicly when appropriate - Move conversations into DMs - Sync with backend systems - Handle support - Make sales For example… We've got an eCommerce client running it right now that gets a large volume of customer support questions like: "Where's my order?" "My product hasn't arrived."
