Nose injury
Evening everyone, My son suffered a nasty injury to his nose yesterday after being kicked in the face whilst on the floor resulting in his nose bleeding quite heavily and needing hospital assistance. Thankfully nothing is broken, just some swelling and bruising (he handled it like a champ). He wants to get back into football, but is a bit nervous in case he has another bang to the nose. Has anyone ever used one of these masks? Are they allowed? What's peoples thoughts? Thanks 🧤

Are 7, 8, 9 year olds goalkeepers?
Thought this would make for a good debate after reading an article earlier. I've attached a screen grab of what was being said. My experience was a 5/6 year old coming to me and saying she wants to be a goalkeeper, not play football what she actually said is I want to be a goalkeeper and I want to play for England (aim high I guess). I now have an 8 and a half year old who is totally goalkeeping obsessed, her favourite players are goalkeepers, the posters in her room are goalkeepers, her club, academy and 1-1 stuff has all been goalkeeping. If the goalkeeping coaches isn't around and she has to train with the rest of the squad we have to hear about it all the way home. Her first grassroots club used to rotate every 10 mins regardless of whether the child wanted to go in goal or not, while I had to watch a miserable 6 year old stood up front or playing on the wing. My personal opinion is it's a specialist position and completely different to anywhere else on the field, moving between defence, midfield and attack seeing where you fit but Goalkeeping is a completely different set of skills. Obviously there are kids that will discover it older and be naturals but I always feel if you learning solid basics and good habits from a young age it will stand you in good stead moving forwards.

My son is a goalkeeper and has been since he's been 5, he's had the opportunity to play outfield but he has tried them and is still happy to return to being between the sticks. He's now 8 years old and plays for a PDC on a Saturday and plays up a year on a Sunday. He's goalkeeping obsessed at the moment and we 100% support that but if there's ever a time he decides he wants to try something different we will support that too. 😊
Captain of his team today 💪🏻🧤
Max was made captain for today's games and even managed to get a cleansheet whilst playing up a year. Everyone is always so shocked when they realise he's an 8 year old boy taking on some really big and strong 9/10 year olds and he doesn't back down 👏🏻❤️

SUCCESS Sunday - What Was Your Win This Week?
Each week, I invite you to share your biggest win. This isn't about the scoreline, but rather what aspects of your goalkeeping you improved or what new product you got to enhance your game. Additionally, can you name three things you are grateful for? These don't have to be goalkeeper-related. The reason I do this is simple: everyone has tough weeks. Seeing Max made captain of todays games and even bagging himself another cleansheet whilst playing up a year
Goalkeeper bravery 💪🏻🧤
He loves rushing off his line, no fear or hesitation at all with a few war wounds to prove it 💪🏻🧤

@Bertie Fletcher Hahaha 😆 that's like Max he sees the ball and thinks - MINE and I won't stop until it is. That's a class action shot though 😂

@Bertie Fletcher he sounds such an amazing little champ, sometimes it's in the heat of the moment where they sometimes lose all perception 🤣🙈 we've had our fair share of feet tackles where we've had to really explain the importance of not using feet unless it's outside the box and time it right
