Hi! I'm Helen and I live in a small town called Mtunzini in the KZN north coast. I am an English high school teacher by day, and an academic editor by nights/weekends/holidays. I am mother to a very cool 16 year old boy, who is fiercely independent, completely lovable, and can cook a mean biryani. I worry about his life after high school and what the future will look like for him. I love teaching teenagers. I love their energy, sass, and hopefulness. I also worry about those I see struggling with anxiety and grappling with digital addiction. I hope teenagers can restructure their world to better themselves and those around them, and not get sucked into modern commercialism, corruption, and chaos. Definitely coffee! But perhaps chamomile tea after this last list of doom and gloom!
