šæ Who Was Edgar Cayce?
I just finished reading āEdgar Cayce on the Akashic Recordsā by Kevin J. Todeschi, and it really helped me understand how the Akashic Records became part of the spiritual work many of us do today. The book is simple, clear, and gave me a new appreciation for where this wisdom comes from. As I was reading, I kept thinking about our community and how comforting it is to know that the Records have such steady roots. Cayce was just an ordinary man who learned how to listen in a deeper way, and his work opened the door for everyday people to connect with their own soul. I did some research and hereās a little history I thought you might enjoy. š„° A little about Edgar Cayce - Born in 1877 and raised on a farm in Kentucky, in a Christian family - Wanted a simple, peaceful life - In his early twenties he discovered that when he entered a deep, sleep-like state he could access information far beyond everyday awareness - Over the next forty years he gave more than 14,000 readings - Many of those readings mentioned something he called the āBook of Life,ā which we now recognize as the Akashic Records ⨠He saw the Records as a living archive. - He said the Records held every thought, feeling, choice, and possibility of every soul - He saw the Records as a place of learning, not a place of fate ⨠He made the Records accessible to everyday people. - Before Cayce, soul-level information was spoken about mostly in mystical or academic groups - Cayce offered readings to ordinary people who were seeking help with health, purpose, relationships, and healing ⨠He taught that we have free will and room to grow. - Even though the Records hold our past, Cayce said our future is shaped by our choices - He believed the Records were meant for healing and guidance, not prediction ⨠His legacy continues today. - His organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), still holds all his readings š Recommended Reading on Edgar Cayce
