The problem isn’t you.
The problem is the American way of keeping house. If you’ve ever felt like you’re failing at keeping up with your home, I want you to pause right here. Most of us were raised with an unspoken expectation that a “good” home is one that is:• constantly tidy• stocked with backups of everything• optimized for appearance, not real life• managed quietly, without complaint That model doesn’t account for: modern workloads, caregiving, grief, illness, or burnout, small homes filled with too much stuff So if you’re overwhelmed, it’s not because you’re lazy or broken. it's because the system you were handed doesn’t fit real life. In this community, we’re doing something different. We’re questioning the rules. We’re starting smaller than we were taught to.We’re choosing function over fantasy. One drawer at a time is not a failure. It's a reset. If this idea resonates with you, feel free to reply with: “This makes sense to me,” or One household rule you’re quietly letting go of. No fixing required. Just noticing. — Mama Li 💛

🌿 7 Drawers in 7 Days — Challenge Hub
Welcome to 7 Drawers in 7 Days, a gentle January challenge designed to help you create calm through small, meaningful progress. This challenge runs from January 4–10. each evening at 7:00 PM Eastern(One-hour Skool Call • replays available). We’ll focus on just one drawer a day — no whole rooms, no pressure, no perfection.Small spaces can bring powerful shifts. ✨ How the Challenge Works Each evening, we’ll gather for a live Skool Call with this rhythm: - 10 minutes — gentle teaching & grounding - 25 minutes — independent drawer reset - 10 minutes — bio break & make tea - 15 minutes — sharing, reflection, encouragement You may attend live or watch the replay later. If you miss a day, simply pick up where you are. You are never behind. 🧺 Daily Focus Day 1 (Jan 4): Entry Drawer Day 2 (Jan 5): Kitchen Drawer Day 3 (Jan 6): Nightstand Drawer Day 4 (Jan 7): Bathroom Drawer Day 5 (Jan 8): Office / Paper Drawer Day 6 (Jan 9): Clothing Drawer Day 7 (Jan 10): Your Choice (Links to each day’s post and replay will be added here as the week unfolds.) 🌙 A Gentle Reminder You don’t need special tools. You don’t need to do it “right.” You don’t need a perfect home. All that’s required is one drawer, a little time, and a willingness to be kind to yourself. This challenge is about creating calm — not chasing productivity. If you’re participating, you’re invited to comment below with: “I’m in for 7 drawers.” 🌿 I’m so glad you’re here.

I live in northeastern Pennsylvania. I moved a lot growing up so I owned very little. I have noticed the clutter in my home growing and want to get rid of it. I don't want to leave it to my kids to deal with some day.
