What is the emotional cost of being right?
More simply put, would you prefer to be right or happy? Okay, before you say “both” (I know 😄), let’s define “being right.” In this context, it means holding a position and needing someone else to be wrong. Here’s a quick story about that line. Years ago I stopped at a gas station in the middle of nowhere off I-80—bathroom covered in graffiti, except for one clean spot. I pulled out a big, no-nonsense gold marker—the kind that actually looks like real gold—and wrote: Would you prefer to be right or happy? Weeks later, I passed through again. Everything had been cleaned… except that one line, still there in gold.

@Andy Serkiz here's what I said initially.. Would you prefer to be right or happy? Okay, before you say “both” (I know 😄), let’s define “being right.” In this context, it means holding a position and needing someone else to be wrong. If you’re not making someone else wrong, then yes—you can absolutely be right and happy. For example, I live on the Caribbean side of Mexico and wanted to rent a home with a big tree in the backyard. I told the real estate agent to skip the house and just show me the yard. She laughed and said, “I have the perfect place for you.” It was three blocks from the beach, surrounded by mangroves—and way more than I planned to spend. But the moment I saw it, I knew it was mine. I didn’t know how I’d make it work, but I said yes. My daughter and I have been here three years now. Every morning I look out at the mangrove forest… and I feel right and happy! 🎉❤️💫

Is it possible to be triggered without a victim story running underneath it?
A few minutes ago I posted this question: "Is it possible to be triggered without being a victim?" — and both responses interpreted it as witnessing someone else being victimized. I had never seen it that way before! So let me try again. Is it possible to be triggered without a victim story running underneath it? What do you think?

@Cassandra Kiehn In simple terms you're saying...your body can react automatically (a trigger), and then your mind quickly creates a story about that reaction—but you can learn to notice the reaction and choose not to get pulled into the story. Thank you for sharing your perspective! 💫

@Melissa Jazowski I see your brand new here. Welcome! Think of a story like this: Something triggers an internal response, but instead of simply noticing the feeling, most people create a story about why they feel the way they do—and that story is what keeps the emotion going. So based on what you’re saying, it sounds like you’re pointing to a 'heart field activation' as the trigger itself, rather than the situation—and from there, it becomes something you can notice and work through instead of turning it into a story about what it means. Thank you for sharing! 🙏
A Consistent, Repeatable Way to Rewire Your Brain
Aaron Doughty teaches that this space is about rewiring a new way of being and creating inside-out transformation. The Okay Concept is simple: everything—your circumstances, reactions, even your problems—is okay as it is. Not because you want it to stay that way, but because resistance, fear, and worry are what keep those patterns active. With daily practice, simply telling yourself “it’s okay” interrupts the dominant neural pathway connected to fear and worry. Over time, this becomes your natural response, replacing resistance with calm and clarity. This is how you begin to rewire a new way of being and create inside-out transformation. Here's "The OK Concept" by Wally Minto. https://youtu.be/u4El1pVJ9K0

In Aaron Doughty’s video “The MAGIC of Neville Goddard…” he references Feeling Is the Secret by Neville Goddard as something that deeply impacted him. At its core, the message is simple: your feeling state is what creates—fear creates more fear, worry creates more worry, lack creates more lack. The Okay Concept, by Wally Minto, points to the same thing in a very simple, practical way: fear and worry are strong forms of belief, and what you strongly believe gets created. When you let everything be okay, that charge begins to drop. That’s why I added the audio version here—it’s a simple, repeatable way to apply what Neville was pointing to. 💫💛

Aaron opens his video by saying: “what you will learn in this video may very well change your entire perception of reality…” That made me curious enough to look up the book he references — Feeling Is the Secret. I ended up loving it, so I thought I’d share it here: https://thejoywithin.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/neville-goddard-feeling-is-the-secret-pdf-ebook.pdf And for audio learners, I narrated an audiobook version as well: https://youtu.be/VzqZ2KwCtgI
