From paper cut-offs to ephemera!
A bit of gluing, layering with vintage bits and some distress inks and paint water....and I now have PLENTY of ephemera bases, tuck spots, tags. Journaling cards, belly bands...for the THIRSTY journals recently created! Aren't these just delicious!! πŸ’šπŸŽ¨βœ‚οΈπŸ“βœ¨οΈπŸ™Œ

@Penny McElroy YESSSSS! I literally made these with a bed table over my lap and watching a show! Just glueing....and then I used the vintage sewing pattern bits to add text, lines and vintage color.....some I left more bright. I can add embellishments and layer when I need them. Im thinking about offering "Ready To Go" junk journal kits or ephemera packs or vintage paper packs for members. What do you think? My community is free for now...but that might be a subscription tier. Also, what do you think about doing a swap or exchange of some kind?

@Jessy Lewis Thank you!
Peeling the packaging revealed....
As soon as I saw this, I knew it would make some drundgy make making for a vintage wallpaper pattern...and then the peeled bit even looks like grungy, torn wallpaper. I will play with this and share updates! Do you see art supplies where others see trash? βœ‚οΈπŸŽ¨

Laminating dried flowers & vintage lace!
It was a journey and it was fun figuring it out! I am adding these bits as tuck spots and pockets in my niece's Pari themed journal. πŸŽ¨βœ‚οΈπŸ“πŸ“’

Watercolors on a road trip.
I always have an art journaling "go bag". Today it was pocket sized water colors, small spray bottle, refillable water brush and a watercolor journal. We were driving to check out a camping site. I was inspired to just play with color. It felt so good! These will be used in collage and making tags for current journal projects. Have you had a play with watercolors lately? So fun!

You know what.... I have scribbled pastels (the oily chalks) on a water color paper strip and packed in a zip lock bag woth a paint brush that has pre-filled water. In the car pick up line, I would use that to make art while waiting for my kids. The pastels strip is the paint pallette.... and I have also done this with watercolor pencils....with refilled water brush. Color/sketch and then use my brush. I have done this in car wait lines, at the DMV while waiting and at a coffee shop when I was waiting in a friend. It was better than scrolling! And I made a little journal card to add to a journal later! πŸŽ¨πŸ“πŸ’œπŸ™Œ
