There were two sessions at IIMC (Preethi Fernando & Glenn Anderson) that talked about using power positions or the 5 second rule to interrupt our train of thought. Maybe witnessing the wound is similar to a positive interruption that anchors us into that wisdom 🪬

Rewrite an Old Story Think about an old belief you’ve carried with you that no longer serves your greatest and highest good. It’s likely a belief you inherited. Let’s identify it. Maybe the belief that “money doesn’t grow on trees.” Or, “only girls/boys can do ____.” Whatever it is… Rewrite it. We do not need to be the character in someone else’s story 🩵

“Work harder than everyone else in the room.” This mindset was inherited from my dad. While it helped shape a work ethic that often surprises people 20 years older than me, it has also led to periods of extreme burnout, isolation, and an unhealthy sense of competitiveness.
