I feel like I’m hitting a wall in my research. I’ve been working on an independent project all summer, but lately, I’m feeling stuck and unsure if I’m on the right track. For those of you who have pursued independent research without a mentor, how did you navigate through those moments of uncertainty? Is having a mentor absolutely necessary? I’ve tried reaching out to teachers and other adults, but most couldn’t commit due to their existing responsibilities. Any advice would be appreciated.
