Trials and Retention
Seen some great success from people with Paid trials etc. but on the other hand heard some people struggling with getting them through the door, or converting them... Got any tips to share? I'm also interested what happens when a trial is booked on. To improve show up rates and conversion you could try some of or all of the following... - 24hr and 2hr reminder emails or texts (significantly improves show up rate) - Phone call confirmation of trial booking (Gives them the human connection via voice and chance to ask any other questions) - Share recent success stories from new students (even better - use same age and from same class, you will know this from trial form data) - Share testimonials from parents - Offer incentive for those that show up, and for after a trial to encourage more sign-ups - Map out onboarding process for new students to get them better integrated into your school - Voice note messaging... Whatsapp business allows you to be connected this way and a friendly voicenote can go a long way. During the trial process or just sending a parent some feedback or kind words at the end of the month. Has anyone implemented some of these? Can you share any other tips that has helped you with trials, conversion and retention? Please share below! 👇🏽😃

@Ess Green it fluctuates. This month is a pretty standard month & I’ve had 38 in since 1st July with 12 more more booked before the end of the month. I’m sure we’ll get a few more. We only close for the last 2 weeks of the summer holiday . August is normally pretty really busy for trials as parents like to get them settled before starting school. We run our “school year” Jan - Dec & I always do an enrolment incentive for those joining in August.

@Ess Green word of mouth and I’d like to think a good reputation. I’m terrible at remembering to advertise I do it about twice a month at most. (I was much better pre-motherhood!) I see competitors posting to local groups every single day and honestly I think it’s overkill and I roll my eyes every time I see it … normally littered with spelling mistakes. Trail is a personal favourite 😂 I know what I do well our target audience is the under 10’s with a lot of class options for 5 & unders. Naturally they grow with us as dancers. Get them whilst they are young and keep them. Babies are your bread and butter I have no idea why so many are “scared” of them. There’s absolutely no shame in teaching the lower levels - in fact it’s my preferred place to be.
