One of the hardest things for entrepreneurs is being vulnerable with their why. It’s messy. It’s raw. It might even be controversial. And the fear is always the same: “If I share this, I’ll push people away.” But here’s the thing.. that’s the point. Your why is supposed to push some people away. And it’s also what pulls the right people in with magnetic force. Today in our intensive, one of the participants finally shared his real reason: He wants to give a billion dollars to a Christian cause. At first he didn’t want to say it. Too taboo. Too risky. But the second he said it out loud? The people in the room who shared his values lit up.. They leaned forward. They trusted him more instantly. Your why is a proclamation of your values. It’s not meant for everyone. It’s meant for the people you’re called to serve. So stop sanding down your story to fit everyone. Tell it raw. Tell it true.
