šŸ‘‹ Welcome! Introduce Yourself Here
We’re so glad you’re part of AI For Teachers! šŸŽ‰ This is the spot to break the ice and meet other educators who are exploring AI in their classrooms, schools, and homeschools. šŸ‘‰ How to Introduce Yourself When you post, share a little about: 1. Your name & where you’re from 2. What you teach (or if you homeschool/lead a co-op) 3. One way you hope AI could help you most (example: ā€œgrading fasterā€ or ā€œmaking lessons more engagingā€). 4. (Optional but fun!) Something unique about your teaching style or classroom. Example Post: ā€œHi, I’m Sarah from Texas! I teach 4th-grade reading. I’m hoping AI can help me save time writing parent newsletters. Fun fact: I love using silly voices when I read aloud to my class!ā€ šŸ’” Remember: This community is about support, not perfection. Whether you’re brand new to AI or already experimenting, you belong here. Can’t wait to meet you all—drop your intro below! šŸ‘‡ — The AI For Teachers Team

@Jay Doyle hey Jay so glad you decided to join our community! I’ll definitely look into AI video and sketch apps/software for you! What would be your main use case for them?
Lesson Plan Remix
✨ Quick Prompt Challenge: The ā€œLesson Plan Remixā€ Imagine you’re a DJ—but instead of music, you’re remixing lesson plans. šŸŽ¶šŸ“š Your challenge: Write a prompt that asks AI to turn an ordinary topic (like multiplication tables, the water cycle, or Shakespeare) into a lesson in a completely unexpected style. Examples: - Teach the water cycle as if it were a cooking show. šŸ³ - Explain fractions through a superhero comic. 🦸 - Explore Shakespeare like it’s a reality TV show. šŸ“ŗ šŸ‘‰ Post your remix prompt and share the AI’s wild response. šŸ‘‰ Extra fun: vote on the most ā€œunexpected yet teachableā€ remix.

šŸ“¢ This Week in AI for Teachers
We’ve got a full week ahead with some great resources and ways to practice using AI: šŸŽ„ Wednesday, Sept 10 - I’ll be releasing the recording from our first Lesson Plan Jam! If you couldn’t make it live, this is your chance to catch the walkthrough + Q&A on prompting and lesson plan building. šŸ’” Thursday, Sept 11 - Join us in the Prompt Clinic forum for a quick Prompt Challenge—a fun way to sharpen your skills and see how others are using AI creatively. šŸ“„ Friday, Sept 12 - New PDF resource drop to help you save time and get practical with AI in your classroom. šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø All Week Long - Don’t forget, the AI Questions section is always open! If you’re stuck, curious, or experimenting, post your questions there so the community can jump in and support you. Let’s keep learning together and making teaching lighter + more creative with AI šŸš€

šŸš€ New in the Classroom: Khanmigo Walkthrough
Big news—we just added a Khanmigo walkthrough! šŸŽ‰ Look in the classroom Tab under "Free Trainings"! If you’ve been curious about how Khan Academy’s AI tutor works (and how it can support you and your students), this walkthrough will give you: āœ… A tour of Khanmigo’s features āœ… Examples of how teachers are using it in real classrooms Khanmigo is one of the most teacher-friendly AI tools out there, and this walkthrough will help you see how it might fit into your own teaching. šŸ‘‰ Check it out now in the classroom section, and let us know in the comments: Would you use Khanmigo with your students—or more as a planning assistant for yourself?

šŸ™ Quick Update & Apology
Yesterday, we had planned to release the video + PDF on how to create PDFs and diagrams with GPT-5. We didn’t hit ā€œpublishā€ā€”and I want to explain why. The truth is, we don’t yet have a solid, repeatable process for this. We could have shared something rough, but we don’t want to give you a half-baked resource that causes more confusion than clarity. ✨ Our goal is always to deliver practical, consistent tools that you can actually rely on in your classroom. That said, I don’t want to leave you hanging! I’ll drop the results we’ve had so far (link below šŸ‘‡) so you can see what’s possible. Just know: we’re still refining it into a step-by-step process that works every time. Thank you for your patience and for being part of this journey with us. We’d rather take a little extra time than deliver something that isn’t truly helpful. šŸ’›

@Richard Tyson Hi Richard yes the PDF was created with AI. I started with prompting Chat GPT to give me the HTML of the file first with the thought process that it would make it easier to design. However it took a TON of prompting and tweaking to get it where I wanted it to be. Its not rly a process that is worth showing on video right now. I am still looking for different tools/techniques to make this consistent. Consistency in PDFs and design is one of the more challenging things to do when approaching the current AI models we have right now

@Richard Tyson the image you have right now does look much betteršŸ˜… I will continue to look into this and see how we can make AI image generation as consistent as possible.
