One of my favorite parts of STR design is finding inspiration that is really specific to the property and the area! For The Sugarhouse in the Montpelier, Vermont area, we were inspired by the local maple tapping and sugaring history and used that as a starting point for the design. 🍁 We even took it a step further and gave each bedroom its own theme tied back to the property. This is the Sugar Maker’s Suite, where we pulled in warm maple and amber tones, rich browns, plaid, florals, and layered patterns to give the room that cozy, nostalgic feeling without making it feel overly themed. I love finding these little connections to a property’s location and turning them into something unique for the guest experience. Sometimes the best design inspiration is already right outside the property!
