MOST PEOPLE LOVE FOOD. DO YOU?
They cook, try new recipes, and share meals with friends — but when it comes to putting that experience into words, they get stuck. They post something online, maybe a recipe or a photo, and then… nothing really happens. No audience, no traction, and definitely no income. What most people don’t realise is that the difference isn’t the food — it’s the writing. When you know how to describe food properly, structure your ideas, and write in a way that actually connects with readers, everything changes. Your content becomes something people want to read, share, and even pay for. That’s exactly what I teach inside my Food Writing Academy — how to turn your love of food into writing that can genuinely make you money.

@Molly Murray you’re special.
Who would like to open the door to food writing?
One of our lovely members, @Gwynne Conlyn , has shared her new course, and I wanted to give this more reach. Would this be a fit for you? THE FOOD WRITING ACADEMY My latest module: Learn to write food articles the way a chef prepares a great meal. This course teaches you how to identify your reader, craft irresistible openings, and use sensory language to bring food to life. You’ll learn how to structure stories using the Five Ws and H, describe dishes and atmosphere vividly, analyse a food review, and develop your own authentic voice while editing with clarity and precision. https://www.skool.com/how-to-write-about-food-8335/classroom/c93ca6f7?md=98d986a403d84434a51e73c7edcbbf9d Feedback would be hugely appreciated!

What do you like to read?
What is your favourite genre? I’d love to know! I love a gorgeously written literary fiction or a good immersive fantasy! I recently read Broken Country in one sitting… it was such a good read but omg, that main character was so frustrating! 😂😂

I read mostly non fiction books about food. Right now I'm reading a foodie novel, The Language of Food. It's the fictionalised story of how a woman broke the mould of traditional cookbooks and changed the course of cookery writing.

@Molly Murray the philosophy of gastronomy. Now that sounds fascinating to me!
Introduction :)
💫 Hi, I'm Molly Murray! It's so lovely to meet you. 💫 I want to know, what is your vision? 💫 What are you passionate about creating right now — a book, an album, a body of work, or a business? Please share a bit about you in the comments! Here's a bit about me... I help writers & createpreneurs dissolve resistance, write books, and create work that matters through focus and flow. I help people write the books they can't stop thinking about! I've spent nearly two decades inside the creative world - literally OBSESSED with why creatives strive, or thrive! I'm an Editor, Bookseller, Creative Mentor, Leader of Bookclubs & Creative Communities, I'm the author of two books and several poems, stories, and essays that have appeared in more than 30 publications. "WHY are some people able to spin out their best work & fill their bank account with no problem?" "WHY do some of the most brilliant creatives feel so STUCK?" I started asking these questions in college when I was the staff writer for a music venue - and I never stopped! It all made sense when I studied Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT). I learned how the subconscious mind shapes focus, fear, and creative momentum. The missing piece became clear - it's all in the science of creative flow! My work takes flight at the intersection of... -Writing craftsmanship -Editorial Vision -Creative Strategy -Nervous-system recalibration -Subconscious work -Energetic Healing This is how FLOW becomes a sustainable part of your life and work. This is how artists create from steadiness instead of strain. Flow is not accidental - even though it can feel unplanned! Creative flow comes: -with safety -with focus -with a peaceful nervous system. And FLOW is when your best work comes through! I'm a Creative Architect. I help creative people bring books and bold projects into the world through focus and flow. And if you're here - I know you have a vision, too. Let's change the world, together! Xoxo, ~Molly
