Former Hospitality Entrepreneur Diving Into AI – Looking for Guidance and Strategic Direction
Hey everyone, excited to be here. I’m new to the AI space and I’m transitioning from the hospitality world, where I spent the last eight years building and running a youth hostel that generated around €800K annually. It was an intense, challenging, and rewarding journey, and now I’m ready for a new chapter. I’m really fascinated by AI, especially how it’s reshaping marketing, sales, and customer acquisition across so many industries. My goal is to focus on the business side of things—strategy, selling the services, and working closely with clients—while partnering with someone who enjoys the operational and technical implementation. What I’d love to learn from this community is how to understand what businesses actually want and need right now. Where do I start? How do you validate which services have the strongest demand? Any insights, experiences, or mistakes to avoid would be massively appreciated. If you were in my shoes, entering this industry today—with experience in business, management, customer service, and sales—but not yet technical, what would be your first steps? Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their thoughts. I’m here to contribute, learn, and hopefully build something great with the right people.
From Hostel Owner to AI Beginner
I’m 30 years old, and for the past ten years I managed a 100-bed youth hostel in Italy. We generated around €600,000 a year with a 30% margin and a team of 15 people. In February my contract expired, the property was reclaimed, and I had to shut everything down.Right now, I don’t have a job and I’m trying to figure out what my next step should be. Starting another hostel would require finding someone willing to invest at least €500,000, and good locations are extremely hard to find nowadays. That’s why I’m seriously considering a complete change. Over the last months I’ve been diving into artificial intelligence. I’m following YouTube channels, communities, and creators who talk about AI implementation agencies, and it feels like this might be the biggest opportunity right now — helping businesses integrate AI into their operations. At the same time, I’m honestly scared. I keep hearing that AI will replace a lot of jobs, and many people say: “Either you implement it, or you’ll be overtaken by it.”Sometimes I even feel like maybe the hostel closing was a kind of sign — a way to push me toward a new path I had been ignoring. I genuinely like this field, and I want to study it more deeply. So I’d love your advice:If you were in my position, what would you do? What would you suggest to someone starting completely from scratch and wanting to build a career in AI?

Looking to connect with others here — no sales, just real conversations
Hey everyone, I wanted to quickly share a bit of my story.I’ve spent the last 10 years running a 100-bed hostel in Italy, and after closing it earlier this year, I’m now diving into the world of AI, online business, and community building. I’m here to learn, grow, and understand how people are building things on Skool. I’d really love to meet others who are on a similar path — or anyone who’s already building a community, working on an AI project, or growing something interesting here. I’m not selling anything.I just want to connect with new people, listen to your stories, learn from your experiences, and maybe build some friendships along the way. If you’re open to jumping on a casual introductory call, reply to this post and we can organize something together.I’d be happy to hear what you’re working on, what you’re learning, and where you’re heading. Looking forward to meeting some of you! 🚀
The easiest AI service to sell to smallest businesses
I’m starting to build my AI implementation agency, and I want to choose a service that’s simple, valuable, and easy to sell. What’s the easiest Ai service to sell to small businesses?

How Do You Structure Offers as a Newcomer Without a Personal Brand?
Hey everyone, I’m currently building my first offer and I’m really curious to understand how successful communities here on Skool structure their paid services—especially when starting without a personal brand or audience. Alex Hormozi often repeats that we should aim to collect as much money as possible in the first 30 days of the customer relationship… but at the same time, he also says we need to reduce the perceived risk for the client as much as possible (and I’m confused here 😅). So I’m stuck between two approaches: Charge upfront – e.g. $1,500 at the beginning, and then deliver the service. Remove all the risk – tell the prospect: “You don’t know me yet. Let me do the work first. If you like the result, only then you pay $1,500.” As someone still building trust and reputation, which model would you recommend? How did you structure your offer when you started? Super curious to hear your experiences, especially from people running high-ticket or performance-based services. Thanks in advance!
