"I have found adventure in flying, in world travel, in business, and even close at hand... Adventure is a state of mind - and spirit." Respond in whatever way suits your character

Ren lowered the receiver onto his lap and shouted something in English to Maurice. Cathy didn't catch it, but then Maurice replied something like, "What are the bien..." Then more rapid-fire English volleyed between them, ending with, "...indoor cat." "Yes," said Maurice. "Yes," said Ren into the phone. Cathy tapped her husband on the shoulder. "Qu'est-il arrivé?" Maurice frowned thoughtfully, as he tended to do before speaking French to her. "Um," he said. Ren laughed, abrupt and loud. Maurice smirked, and she momentarily felt the rush of envy for their connection; one built of not only shared language but also a shared childhood. Her patience as she waited for Maurice to compose an explanation would never bridge the gap. But it was all she had to offer this relationship. "Le médecin du chat veut prendre les... les balles." Maurice made a scissor motion with his fingers down low. "Alors il ne pouvait pas être un père encore."
Cathy and Jon are very dynamic together. They literally go around town on wheels. I haven't done a Cathy-on-rollerblades comic in a while. I'll do one now.
@Laura Cushing I've never seen a friendship like it anywhere in fiction, so I invented it from scratch! They took to it naturally. Cathy will absolutely be friendly with anyone who puts up with her, and Jon is a softie if he doesn't feel threatened.
