FIRE
Wow, I just finished reading the Financial Independence flyer and calculating my Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) number. Certainly could have been a goal if I wasn’t 2 years from retiring, but to read about the concept and take the time to find me and my husband’s number was quite enlightening. The number was big, but my commitment to investing and compounding money going forward is bigger because even at 62, you can still do better than where you are currently. Moving forward to narrowing down my investment choice. You know how the first steps of a baby are wobbly until they get the hang of it and walk with confidence? I’m learning as I go, but excited to be on this journey of discovering how to invest so I don’t have to remain forever dependent on a broker. I’m glad we can lean on the Wealth Twins to increase our knowledge. What about you Wealth Twin Community?

@Tamara Harrison absolutely 💯. I can identify with you about "no to low." I recently changed my mindset because of a video I saw from the twins. Formerly, we hadn't been given the necessary tools to make informed decisions. Then to compound matters, when we did get advice and opinions from family, friends and social media... etc. it's conflicted and convoluted.

Thank you @Wayne Wooten for sharing your vision and the scripture on wisdom. Earlier, I was just reading Proverbs 1:7 before seeing your post. That is confirmation for me for a project I am working on.
I DID IT!
Hello: Thought I'll share this with the whole group instead of just in the comment section of one of the group member. I had $500 sitting in my brokerage account with Charles Schwab and just yesterday I moved it to a SWPPX Charles Schwab S&P 500 Index Fund (no fees). I know it sounds like I know what I am talking about but I just learned this by watching the Wealth Twins videos. I couldn't worry about knowing it all (it's a lot) so I just started with learning how to start and then moved on it. The Index fund was best for me because I wanted to start at a low risk, low maintenance and stress free level and I did it! Charles Schwab agent walked me through it step by step until I completed my first transaction. I did specify I want to invest $500 long term, not trade and I wanted to buy Schwab S&P $500 Index fund to be clear cause it seems like everything was trying to default to trading (trying to do it without help). I had learned to stay away from trading and marginal until I knew what I was doing. The agents will not tell you how to invest (at east the one I had did not) so I had to know that to start. Hopefully this helps you to know you are not alone.

Congrats! Thank you for sharing. I can recall a recent post I watched, on YouTube by the Wealth Twins. Their message encouraged us not to just have our cash from investing sit, make it work.
How To Stop Accepting Pickle Juice - This Week's Newsletter
This week we went live and talked about why something really shifts when you hit a certain savings milestone (for many people, that number is around $20,000 in cash outside retirement). Not because $20,000 is “magic.”But because it changes what your money can do for you. So today’s email isn’t a recap of the live. It’s a use-this-today guide to help you turn “I’m trying to save” into “I have options.” If you watched the live (or caught the replay), reply and tell me: what’s your Personal Power Fund number? Then go drop it in the comments on the replay too, so other people can see they’re not alone. If you didn't watch it, you can check it out here. (We know the audio was a little wonky, but the message was strong. Full newsletter in the classroom.
