Accidentally Wrote a Novel About My Niche Finder Update... Please Enjoy This Completely Reasonable 9,000-Word Post I’ve been doing a huge amount of work behind the scenes on the Online Community Niche Finder tool, and honestly, I’m still kind of blown away by how much easier this process has become using ChatGPT’s thinking model. What started as a fairly cluttered list of random niche ideas has slowly turned into something much more structured, useful, and intentional. 𝗔𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁, 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀. Some were really good. Some were too generic. Some were too similar to ideas that already existed. Some were sitting in the wrong categories. Some had potential but needed to be cleaned up, expanded, sorted, or grouped in a smarter way. Doing all of that by hand would have taken me hours and hours, probably days, of manual work. But instead, I was able to work through it step by step with ChatGPT, slowly turning the list into something that is actually usable for the tool. First, we separated the stronger niche ideas from the weaker ones. Then we removed obvious duplicates. Then we reorganised the niches into the proper categories for the tool. Then we looked at which categories were too light and expanded them so the overall tool would feel more balanced. Then we removed any ideas that overlapped with the original 845 high-quality niches already inside the tool. Then we added brand new ideas for weaker categories. Then we ranked every niche by uniqueness, so the most interesting, unusual, specific, and less obvious ideas would rise to the top. And now, I have a ranked master list of over 3,000 niche ideas that I can start adding into the Online Community Niche Finder tool over the next few days. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲. Because this is not just about having “more niches” for the sake of it. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 is to make the tool better for people who are brand new to the idea of starting an online community and have no idea what they could actually build.
