When Quran saysوَمَا خَلَقت الجِنَّ وَالْانسَ إِلَّا لِيَعبُدُونِ which translates to "I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me" (51:56) Ibne abbas explained the meaning of "worship me" as "know me" so its not just about physical rituals or repeating praise phrases for Allah because thats what the angels are alreadyupto. for we are Allahs khalifa on earth and according to a sahi hadith that Allah created us in his image and Allah himself said in surah rum that we are created on his fitrah which means qualitative reflection of Allah. So we human are supposed ti worship Allah through "conscious recognition and manifestation of his divine attributes" (beautifully chosen words i read somewhere). as a khalifa as a deputy we represent king, we are breathing expressions of Allah's character on earth. Allah has placwd a unique spark of his specific attribute in the soul of every single human, making it the core of who they are and whats their purpose. every individual human carries a specific attribute more prominently than others and we can see it in real life all the time as some people are just naturally compassionate and generous they are a living reflection of Allah's mercy and generosity as rehman and Raheem. others are obsessedwith learning, figuring things out and discovering truths they embody Allah's knowledge and wisdom as Aleem and hakeem so our personal mission isn't some hidden mystery that we have to guess It’s about looking inward to recognize that specific divine trait Allah trusted us with, nurturing and refining it as we growand then pouring it back into the world. Its honestly such a beautiful perspective and it makes loving and worshiping Allah feel entirely natural.
