How does my AI Second Brain keep up with news?
A community member asked me if GoBot has an RSS feed to keep up with news. Great question! Real screenshots below of how it all manifests in GoBot. This is a classic example of thinking about individual apps when you should be thinking about systems. GoBot doesn't just 'have an RSS feed' in the traditional sense. It has an entire information ingestion and summarization engine that goes far beyond a simple feed. Here's what it can actually do: 1. MONITOR ANY SOURCE: RSS, specific websites, email newsletters, Twitter accounts, YouTube channels, Notion pages, academic journals, even private Slack channels. 2. RELEVANCE FILTERING: Instead of getting ALL the noise, GoBot learns what's relevant to YOU based on your projects, interests, and how you interact with information. It discards the rest. 3. SUMMARIZE & SYNTHESIZE: It doesn't just deliver articles. It reads them, condenses key points, extracts action items, and connects new information to your existing knowledge base – your AI Second Brain. 4. PROACTIVE BRIEFINGS: GoBot can generate a daily or weekly briefing tailored to your needs. Imagine a personalized 'morning paper' with only the news relevant to you, summarized, and ready to inform your next steps. 5. TAKE ACTION: Found a fascinating research paper mentioned in an RSS feed? GoBot can automatically add it to your reading list, extract key figures, and even draft an email to a colleague about it. 6. BONUS: I call call Gobot via phone, and say - let's do content interview. It looks at latest news it gathered, my projects, and what's relevant to my community. Informs me, asks me questions, and also if I need more info, it can go and search web for clarification. On my way to office, I stopped listening to podcasts, I talk with GoBot. So, yes, it handles 'RSS feeds,' but that's like saying a self-driving car 'has wheels.' It's a small part of a much bigger, more powerful, autonomous system that builds your AI Second Brain. What kind of information do you wish your AI would proactively bring to your attention?

@Martin Roberts Yes Martin! haha, it sparked this post, but you asked for RSS feed of community. I am pretty sure we could add it to dedicated community MCP! So in my news one I have dedoubling, so same posts don't appear. And I have a crazy project for you all in paid - a continues 3 month againt work, they manage their board of tasks, progress, ask me for approval. But also... monitor competitor intel. More on that soon! This could be fully adapted to your youtube and news feed.
Question about the second brain setup
I'm at the point in the setup where I need to choose a subscription vs API. Is it still OK to use a pro plan? I have seen vids about Anthropic not allowing this for ai agents and I don't want to screw this up. I'll pay for API if I have to. I wanted to ask the second brain (once set up) to update my blog. Would't anthropic see that as an automation that needs API?

Hey @Pepe Lanovia! I made a video about this, but in short - you can use your subscription while on your local mashine, on VPS we recommend API. But full gobot setup has a hubrid mode, so once you turn your computer on, it routes to subscription. On VPS request a being classified , so simple messages uses cheap model, only complex multi tool use goes to agent sdk with API. Claude code is intended use is to automate work, so you can totally use it for it. I manage my whole website like this.

@Pepe Lanovia it will be joy to have you on board! well, the local advantage is cost - you can run opus 4.6 to the ground for $200/month if on max subscription. I ran things that would have costed me thousands in a week. hah - but beyond that VPS is a great choice. The hybrid approach gives you best of two worlds and powerful cost optimisation.
The 5-Minute Test: Is Your AI Actually Working For You?
Most people in this community use AI every day. But there's a massive difference between using AI and having AI that actually works for you. Quick self-check. How many can you say yes to? - My AI remembers context from last week (across different platforms) without me re-explaining - I have ONE AI that handles email, calendar, and tasks together - My AI can take action (send emails, create tasks, make presentation, code) — not just answer questions - I spent LESS time on admin this month than last month - I could hand my AI setup to someone else and it would still work 0-1 yes: You're using AI like a search engine. Most people are here. No shame. 2-3 yes: You're ahead of 90% of people. But you're doing too much manually. 4-5 yes: You've built an AI Second Brain. You're operating differently. I built a system that checks all 5 boxes. It's called GoBot — it runs on Claude Code, connects to your real tools, and you own every piece of it. The mini version is free in our classroom. The full system (25+ features, weekly office hours, 1-on-1 setup help) is inside Autonomee → skool.com/autonomee Drop your score in the comments. I'm curious where this community stands.

@Aj Silvers well, obsidian is not really a database, check out Convex. We just had a full workshop on it. I am migrating tomorrow from supabase to Convex. It’s full typescript and real time. AI loves it. Open source, so you can self host it locally.

@Aj Silvers you need to do data migration not just link up a database, that defeats the purpose. We have 2 members already migrated fully, in 1h, so it’s not a giant work to do.

Hello Pedro! Thanks for making the intro, looking forward you playing with GoBot!
START HERE: What is an AI Second Brain?
Most people use AI like a search engine. Ask a question, get an answer, forget the conversation ever happened. An AI Second Brain is different. It's an AI that: - Remembers everything across every conversation - Connects to your real tools (Gmail, Calendar, Notion, Slack) - Takes action for you (sends emails, creates tasks, schedules meetings) - Calls you when something is urgent - Lives on YOUR infrastructure — your data, your rules Think of it like this: ChatGPT is renting a brain. An AI Second Brain is BUILDING one. It sits on your phone via Telegram. It knows your schedule, your preferences, your projects. When you message it at 2am with a half-baked idea, it remembers. When you ask it Monday morning what's on your plate — it actually knows. This community is where you learn WHAT an AI Second Brain is and WHY you need one. When you're ready to BUILD yours, the full system (GoBot + course + office hours + direct support) lives at skool.com/autonomee. Here's how to get started right now: 1. Take the free AI Second Brain (mini GoBot) course 2. Introduce yourself below — what would you want YOUR AI Second Brain to do? Welcome. Let's build.

@Aj Silvers Hey, so cool you join the free community! I just revamped it, will take time to get it buzzing, but you are already well setup for GoBot with what you shared here! Take a look at classrooms, any feedback welcome, and let me know how free Gobot setup goes! Also, let's free up that time, so you can spend most of it with who matter - the little one :)
