These should feel natural and unscripted — not staged or overly polished. The goal is to capture real daily routines as they would normally happen. Examples include: 🍳 Kitchen routines 🧹 Household cleaning and organization 🪴 Indoor plant care 💻 Leisure, technology, and home office activities 🎨 Indoor art and creativity 👨‍👩‍👧 Group/family routines with proper consent Required Camera Setup You’ll need an Insta360 X5 with a head-mounted setup using an Easy Clip or hat clip. Required settings include: - Freeframe mode - Single-lens - 4K resolution - 30 FPS - MaxView 170° FOV - Standard filter - Auto white balance - Horizon Lock off Don’t Let the Gear Stop You If you don’t already have the Insta360 X5, this may be a good opportunity to rent one, borrow one, or buy one temporarily on a payment plan while this project is active. Hey everyone, I’ve been getting a lot of emails and questions about the paid data capture project, so I wanted to post a quick follow-up and clear up a few things. Yes — this is a paid opportunity. We’re hiring hundreds of people from the CloudPano user base to capture simple first-person video data for a large study. The project is very straightforward: 1. We give you a list of normal daily routines. 2. You put on an Insta360 X5 with a head strap. 3. You live your life and record for about one hour. 4. You upload the video to our pipeline. 5. We process it for the study. 6. You get paid per video. That’s it. You can create as many videos as you want. The faster, the better. We’re starting with 200 one-hour videos, and we need a lot of people who can capture these at the same time once the project begins. Right now, we’re still working through budgetary numbers, but anyone who sends me a reasonable quote per hour will move toward the top of the list. A quick example… I tested this myself around my house using a head strap and an Insta360 X5. I made breakfast, cleaned some dishes, and made sure the camera settings matched the scope requirements. Honestly, it was so easy I forgot I even had the camera on. That’s what makes this opportunity interesting. You are basically getting paid to do things you already do anyway. You fold clothes. You clean. You cook. You organize. You work around the house. You play board games with your family. You go through normal daily routines. That is exactly the type of footage we need. When my wife looked at the list of activities, she laughed and said: “This is my life anyway. Just give me the camera. I’ll get paid.” And that’s the point.
