Last Week’s Goals: My focus was on refining my resume, continuing to learn DSA topics, networking, applying to more software engineering roles, and making progress on my backend Python project. Progress: I was able to make progress in every area except the backend Python project, as I found it challenging to balance my time effectively. On a positive note, my note-taking and overall understanding of DSA topics have noticeably improved. This Week’s Goals: My priority is to finalize a strong, practical resume that positions me well for intermediate developer roles. I also plan to continue building projects, while scaling back the time I spend on DSA topics to create more balance. p.s. I should find out come Monday if I landed the Client Service Delivery Manager role.

Last Week's Recap: My primary focus last week was to continue applying for software engineering positions while studying data structures and algorithms (DSA). I achieved both goals—submitting four job applications and completing my first interview. This Week's Goals: This week, I'm aiming to secure a third interview following interview #2, which is scheduled for later today. While the upcoming role isn't a traditional software engineering position, it's closely related. The opportunity is for a Client Service Delivery Manager position—a client-facing role that involves guiding users through the software, documenting bugs, and coordinating with configuration analysts or software developers. It’s with a former employer, which adds an element of familiarity. In addition, I plan to continue progressing through DSA topics and work on deploying my Python backend project to AWS, using PostgreSQL for the database layer. Also continue applying to software engineering roles.

One of my goals last week was to apply to new jobs. Tomorrow I have my first interview. My goal for next week is to continue applying to more available positions, continue learning DSA problems, and add a SQL project to my GitHub. There are no blockers I just need to be efficient and divide my time between all my goals accordingly.
Hellooo everyone!
I've been in tech-related roles for the past decade, working as a front-end developer and configuration analyst. Along the way, I’ve dabbled in several programming languages—mastering none (if you can relate, you’re not alone!). With Caleb’s expertise and guidance, I’m excited to work toward my ultimate goal: becoming a confident and capable software engineer. I’m currently interested in learning AWS and Laravel to create a CMS for website development, but I’m also open to exploring smarter paths to achieve that goal. It’s inspiring to read all your posts, and I’m excited to connect, learn, and grow alongside this community!
