Mama, they probably won't remember every dinner you made. They won't remember whether the vegetables were fresh or frozen. They won't care that the biscuits came from a can, the cake came from a box, or dinner occasionally came through a drive-thru window. 😂 But they might remember... 🥣 Standing on a chair beside you stirring the bowl. 🍪 Sneaking a chocolate chip when you weren't “looking.” 🎃 Making something with pumpkin for the first time and deciding they absolutely hated it. 🥞 The pancakes that came out shaped like anything BUT a pumpkin. 🍎 The smell of cinnamon in the kitchen. 💜 And you saying, “Come here. You can help me.” Sometimes we're so focused on getting dinner on the table that we forget something pretty special is happening in that kitchen. We're teaching. We're talking. We're laughing. We're making a mess. We're building confidence. And we're making ordinary moments feel like home. So this week, don't worry about making the perfect fall recipe. Pick something simple. Pull up a chair. Hand them the spoon.
