Freediving is not about your lungs
Well.. it is 😉 But it's more about how you manage your mind. Especially for beginners it is probably 100% mental. Freediving teaches you so much about who you are and how you react to things that happen in your life.

@Ozgun Yangoz welcome! dry breathhold time and underwater time can be 2 very different things. First we have to learn to manage to additional variables that come into play: loss of energy due to poor duck dive, poor finning technique + added anxiety underwater / new environment etc.

What's a contraction, and should you fight it or work with it?
Those dreaded contractions... how to handle them?

What a weekend...
I still can't believe this happened. I won the Skool Games in the sports category (finished in top 5) and met with Alex Hormozi and Sam Ovens - co-owners of the Skool platform. I got to spend a whole day with other Skool Games winners, people who are absolutely killing it in life, who are extremely focussed and locked in, and when you talk to these people every minute of the conversation is a goldmine of inspiration, experience and knowledge. What does this mean for the Underwater Squad? It means i'll be working even more to grow this community, implementing strategies that create the most leverage, because as always, the sky is the limit. In freediving however, that would be the bottom 😉 If you want to start you own skool, start here: https://www.skool.com/signup?ref=47f631f4fed544c3b9e726b106999a0a

My Freediving PB Was 70m... 6 Years Later, Can I Get It Back?
Haven't set a PB in over 6 years. Pandemic hit, training stalled, and I kept hitting the same wall over and over, never got past 50m. Came to Panglao for 2 months thinking maybe it's just not worth chasing depth anymore. First month was rough, same equalization issues, almost gave up. Then I switched locations, started diving with different people, no school, just friends and our own gear, and something clicked. Went from 45m to 60m in a matter of days. Yesterday I hit 60m FIM, my deepest dive in 6 years. Two weeks left here. My old PB is 70m FIM / 62m CNF. Breath-hold isn't the issue, equalization is. If I can tighten up my mouthfill, 70 is doable. Still don't know if I'll keep chasing depth after this or just let it be enough. Freediving was never about how deep you go, but that PB feeling still pulls at you. If you've been away from the sport and thinking about a comeback, this one's for you.
