Raising Operational Ceiling
One of my Tech Leads challenged my way of thinking about changing the culture of my Dev Teams. In my mind, I wanted to create an environment where AI could help do some boring or super repetitive work, and in general, there is nothing wrong with that. However, that was me thinking small; rather than having AI do the boring work, it was pointed out to me that AI could do the unwanted work of compliance. Instead of AI generating a good description for tasks, it should be validated if the work submitted by my team members is following our prescribed templates, and if it is not, it should suggest edits. This is "automated" coaching. This should remind my co-workers about our dedication to quality by adhering to the standards we set for each other. Don't solve small, individual problems in your environment; think bigger, solve the entire system problem and seek benefits there. Can any of you give me an example of someone positively challenging your way of thinking?

Next Workshop - AI Adoption Strategy for your Team
I will set up the date soon, stay tuned. Over the weekend, I was playing with n8n, and it got me thinking about orchestration, which gave me an idea for the workshop content. The theme will be about the AI Strategy, and we will focus on writing one, but I was looking at it from bottoms up perspective, where in the team orchestration, AI could help with automation? This is an interesting topic to explore. Did any of you ever created team flow chart diagram? Could you use it to evaluate your AI Adoption strategy

AI security and traditional security
I've got this question during my webinar today: "Thank you. I would have loved to hear more about the intersection of AI security and traditional security. Perhaps importantly how does traditional security handle an enthusiastic, and powerful, business user who has vibe coded an agent that does what he wants and is now demanding it go live in prod. I suspect that is happening already and will happen a lot more as chatbots can send you right out to a sample React page (Canvas, Artifacts, etc) that can do exactly what you want (probably with fake data)" Do anyone work on this intersection? I'm curious now to hear about practical examples

I am writing an article about this right now, it will be published next week. But in general your AI impelementation strategy should have 3 buckets of general rules: 1. Allowed by default - go and play 2. Review with supervisor - build be don't deploy without approval 3. Restricted - Don't do it unless specifically asked/permitted. you don't want to limit people to the point where they don't us technology or go behind your back to use it. Education is a key element here. Leadeship teams need to understand that AI is here, weather we like it or not. We need to help enable people's potential with it, but help them understand the limits so that they don't cause more issues then they solve. I think it is the same with any proces.

How Do You Split Your Role Without Dumping Work on Someone?
After months of asking, we're finally hiring someone to help me manage 6 teams and nearly 50 people. But how do I split this role without just dumping work on them? Split by teams or by function? How do I hand off relationships? What do I keep vs. delegate in the first 90 days? Have you done this? What worked? What didn't?
