Question
How do your kids with ASD communicate with you?

I had to stop helping him or anticipating what he needed. Once I realised that and stepped back he started to point - first communication!! I felt so bad as if I had been stopping him from progressing but that's just a mum being a mum !
Hi
I'm a mum of 3, my middle son is on the spectrum. Diagnosed with autism and suspected ADHD at age 3, later confirmed ADHD diagnosis along with sensory processing disorder, behavioural challenges that are few and far between but heavy as anything can be, my oldest is my rock and my daughter is now being assessed for dyslexia as well as ASD. I read a lot, I read anything I can. I even read the fanatical stuff! Bleach as a cure! I read it so I know what not to do!! Knowledge is everything. Communication is really important and I know we all can, even when it's not words. I look forward to hearing your stories and your struggles as you are not alone!
