ChatGPT vs. AITOPIA
It seems super sus that they're trying to offer more for less... What's the catch? Any ideas?

I answered my own question, or rather ChatGPT did: AITOPIA leans hard on phrases like “ChatGPT Sidebar,” “GPT-4o access,” “use all AI models in one place” — so it feels like a cheaper/better replacement for ChatGPT Plus. But in reality: - It doesn’t replace Plus. It’s not OpenAI. - It’s a third-party app that uses GPT-4 (along with Claude, Gemini, Llama, etc.) under their own wrapper. - To keep using ChatGPT here with GPT-4o, you’d still need Plus. AITOPIA wouldn’t cover that. - Their subscription is additional, not a swap. - So yeah — the sales pitch makes it sound like “why pay OpenAI $20 when you can pay us instead?” but that’s misleading. It’s more like paying another $10–$20 on top of your existing Plus, unless you decided to ditch ChatGPT entirely and only use their tool.
Dealing with AI Haters
So I had a client recently message me that they’ve decided they no longer can work with me because I use AI. Before I go further I want to say they were extremely kind and nice about their approach in bringing it up, so that’s not the issue. They said their main issue with it is the environmental concerns and the way it hurts creatives. They’re still a great person and I still care for them as I do most clients. I talked to them and shared that for me I treat AI as a tool and don’t personally use it much for design ideation. But as a designer in a tech related field, it’s impossible to not get behind it. Why I’m posting is because I honestly feel this person’s take is super ignorant. They literally sent me their concerns via IG from their iPhone, which just led me to get mad because they probably use so much AI without realizing it. I tend to work with clients that care about important issues deeply, but they’re not always fully educated on what they’re choosing to believe. Anyways, I want to be able to have a solid convo with people if this comes up in the future. Thank you for any and all advice.
Dealing with AI Haters

Totally feel this. I deal with the same thing. AI (A1 if yo'nasty) is treated like the boogie man because there’s such a huge lack of education around how it actually works – how we use it – and what it replaces (or doesn’t). People latch onto one-liners they hear on Reddit, TikTok, or in headlines and run with them without understanding the nuance. I’m completely pro-AI – I just think it needs to be used with intention and transparency. I’m not hiding anything, but I do get frustrated when folks jump to conclusions. Especially when they’re typing out their critiques on devices and platforms that are deeply AI-integrated themselves. I try to remind people: it’s not AI versus creatives – it’s how creatives use AI. That nuance really matters. For a lot of us, AI doesn’t replace our skills – it gives us the room to focus on what we do best and protect our time, energy, and output. Honestly, even some of the copywriters I work with are furiously anti-AI – when they could be integrating brand voice docs and creative briefs to make their work more efficient, not less human. It sucks to say, but unless they adapt, they will be replaced – because that’s the society we live in now. The choice isn’t “AI or no AI” – it’s “use it well or get left behind.” And the environment thing... Don't even get me started. As a generation we've been yelling about global warming and climate change for years and nobody gives a shit, but now all of a sudden everyone's a fuckin expert on the topic. Cry me a river, I'm not an oil tanker or Taylor Swift hopping up the road for a bagel in my private jet. Sure, it's a flippant attitude since "every little helps" but honestly I'm exhausted taking the moral high ground talking to people that get Starbucks everyday.
Jumping on that trend train 🚋 choo choo
Inspired by the hate post and not wanting to do any work. It's not exactly where I want it, but it's 6.30 and I've taken this way too seriously 😅

Dia Browser Invites!! 🎟️
Hola everyone - in terms of Dia invites, they reset every week. So both me and Lo probs have none left, I sent one to @Lauren deVane, and it is a pretty fucking cool browser. But as said by TBC it is an Alpha browser so no sus leaks if you have got access. The invite number people get is quite random so I could get 10 whilst Lo gets 2 vice versa. What I feel like would be da best bet, is that everyone who does want access drops some sort of reminder here, and either me or Lo can send it when our invites refill - we both will also need an email to send it too if you wanna get in! Sidenote: Dia's invite system can be a lil buggy so you might not always get the email and it might mean someone will need to resend you an invite. I am in the Slack communications channel so if there are any issues lemme know and I can raise it with the team!!

The new model... a bit sensitive?
I've found recently that the latest model is a bit "sensitive" – I'm getting a lot of requests denied as being against the TOS. This WIP easter poster idea was denied for being, too gay? But once I said "no, no, it's for my rabbit's birthday... not a problem... the "political" sign was denied until I said it was for my friend who's constantly fucking at work, and even then, I had to REALLY mash a bunch of iterations together... The results are awesome once you massage the message enough to spin it... but dang. This isn't exactly XXX.
