What recommendations do y'all have for a "big" enduro machine? Would love to hit some of the mountain trails, but need a torque brute.

@Ian Burke That was a biggie for me too. Once someone said that, a light bulb switched on and never again. Recognizing my limitations was also a toughie. I see many youngsters not respecting their own mortality, getting in way too deep. Biggest, most powerful machine they can afford, as their first or second bike!? One mistake I didn't make, mainly because I was perpetually broke. LOL

Never been a pro but I dig long sleeve Ts and jeans. That being said, ther are a couple hybrid manufacturers that have created "jeans", that incorporate extra padding and reinforcement where needed and provisions for plates and shields for extra protection. I kinda dig those.

Yeh, yeh, I know but I am not talking in a competitive setting, unfortunately these days it's just recreational for me. In "my day", (ich) the "rider wear" was just dawning and very crude by today's standards.
