At the start of this year, I set a powerful intention—I manifested that I would meet someone on New Year's Eve. That night, the universe aligned, and I met a woman who invited me to her house. What started as casual drinks and conversation turned into something much deeper. She opened up to me about her difficult life: years of abuse from her father, her personal struggles with mental health, and the challenges she faces raising a daughter diagnosed with ADHD and other mental health issues. As I listened, I felt something beyond words. Without even realizing it, I had instinctively started channeling healing energy toward her. It wasn’t yet Reiki in an official sense, but the intent was there. My entire being responded to her pain with compassion and an energetic embrace. In the following days, I wanted to visit her again, to check in and see how she and her daughter were doing. But each time I reached out, the response was the same—negativity. Her daughter was sick. She had a stressful visit from Universal Credit. She wasn’t feeling well. Over and over, it was as if she was reinforcing and recreating a loop of hardship and suffering. One day, while on a walk, I felt an urge to check in on her. I called, and again, she told me how unwell her daughter was. In that moment, I saw something clearly—she was manifesting this reality for her daughter. She was unknowingly using the power of her words and energy to reinforce an identity of illness, limitation, and struggle. I gently told her, “Even if she’s sick, don’t say it like that. You are manifesting something you don’t want.” Instead of being open to the insight, she got defensive. She reacted as if I had threatened her worldview. She told me not to come again, said she would call the police if I did, and then blocked me. --- The Bigger Questions This experience left me with deep questions about the nature of co-creation and reality: 1. How can we recognize when someone is trapped in a self-created reality, versus when they are truly in danger?
