7 Day Challenge - Day 1 complete
Interesting exercise, I see the potential... When something broke, it fixed the underlying script — so the next newsletter benefits too, not just this one. What I'd improve: The program said "done" even though part of the newsletter was silently missing. Next time, I'd want it to double-check its own work and flag when something looks off, rather than me having to spot it...
7 Day Challenge - Day 1 complete
1st file downloand and data cleansing automation
I spent 1 hour building a new automation to dowloand a daily csv file from a site, perform data cleansing, and append relevant data to a master file. First experience running into 403 Forbidden errors (source website has bot protection). Claude of course found a workaround. Biggest "aha moment" - I just realized that I don't need to keep using tokens once my automation is built! I used a lot of tokens for the build (29%), but going forward it will run a python script on Windows Task Scheduler; no Claude!

@J T Claude created a python script that will run automatically on weekdays via Windows Task Scheduler. Today's process was run directly from Claude, but tomorrow it's suppossed to begin using Windows Task Scheduler. I only need to be logged into my computer and will trigger every weekday at 8:45am.

Hi Nate, nice to meet you. I'm George. I consider myself computer savvy, learned a bit of MS-DOS programming in the early 90s, built computer clones, learned HTML programming, had a quick stint with C++, know my way around Windows very well, learned advanced Excel over 20 years ago, etc... But I feel way behing on AI. I feel a bit overwhelmed with the rapid pace of AI tools and strategies; it's hard to know what to focus on... I have anxiety of spending too much time learning something that will be obsolete in a few weeks... But I know I have to start somewhere. I've watched many tutorials in youtube and decided to focus only on your channel. I already built a few basic things using your WAT framework. I've been using Claude Code in VS Code, the IDE environment itself feels familiar to me, I like it better than Claude Desktop. At this point I'm not looking to build an AI business just yet, first I want to learn as much as I can and implement automations in my daily work and life...
Day 1 complete
Just completed the first challenge of the 7 day challenge, lots of room for improvement but I’m starting to understand everything more.

🚀New Video: 100 Years of Artificial Intelligence Explained
This one's a little different, but I had fun putting it together. I hope you guys find it interesting! 100 Years of Artificial Intelligence Explained, and it starts with a 26-year-old building something in his parents' bedroom and a code that took an entire war to crack. I walk through the whole timeline: the two winters that nearly killed the field, the approach everyone wrote off as a dead end, and the single move that made a world champion walk away. This is 100 Years of Artificial Intelligence Explained, and honestly we're just getting started.
