I already know what some people are probably thinking… “That’s great, Jonathanbut I don’t know anything about building software.” Good. Because the new live workshop I’m hosting this Wednesday was created for people who feel exactly like that. When most people hear the word “software,” they imagine programmers, complicated code, massive tech companies, and spending $50,000 to build an app. But software can be much simpler than that. Software is just an online tool that helps someone do something useful. It could be: • A tool that helps a contractor create estimates • A meal-plan generator for fitness coaches • A client portal for an agency • A calculator that helps someone make a decision • A tool that follows up with interested customers • A simple app that replaces a spreadsheet or repetitive task Someone visits the tool, gives it some information, clicks a button, and gets a useful result. That’s software. And people will often pay monthly or yearly to use a tool that saves them time, helps them make money, or removes an annoying problem from their life. Until recently, building something like this required knowing how to code or hiring an expensive development team. AI has completely changed that. Today, you can describe what you want to build in normal, everyday English, and an AI builder can help create the first version. Some people call this “vibe coding.” You don’t need to remember that term. You don’t need to learn a programming language. You need to understand: Who do I want to help? What problem can I make easier for them? What is the first useful thing my app needs to do? Then you give the AI clear instructions, review what it creates, test it, and improve it. But there’s another part almost nobody talks about… Building the app is only half the job. A working app does not automatically become a business. You can build something incredible, launch it, and still make $0 if you chose the wrong problem or nobody knows it exists.
