Hey, it's Gelo and it's a pleasure to be working alongside you on this journey of ours to better ourselves as people and to get to our ultimate goal of being future higher end barbers! I've been given a very special opportunity to pursue this dream escaping the stereotype of being a nurse (as I'm Filipino). My experience is not as long lived (a few months) but I do try to spend most of my Saturday's between 10am-4pm dedicated to mastering the fundamentals of cutting hair with the assistance of family and close friends. I am willing to do anything in my power to achieve this goal as this universe has given me the chance to aim high. My goal is to be the type of barber who is just as nice with shears as he is with clippers. Not only that, but to also make my clients feel confident when they sit in my chair along with having to connect with them as I am quite the introvert. As I am still in work, what excites me about joining this program is that I have been given the opportunity to continue to still learn without taking the 6 week course. Further down the line, I will join the 6 week program as it will help bring me to be levels… but this is just the start to my future. Outside of barbering, I have just gotten back from an ACL INJURY and I am now back on the basketball court. I also have a beautiful partner of 3 years that I have been kicking it with, and lastly I usually just do what guys do, play games or hangout with the gang. As a guilty pleasure I eat a lot of candy and eat junk food but can't gain weight 🤣
