Gemini calling Claude a chatbot in a derogatory sense is WILD AF
Context: I asked Gemini and Claude to research a company so I know if they have enough money to pay what I'm asking for. Gemini: Yep, they've got money Claude: Bootstrapped company, so no money. So I tell Gemini that Claude disagrees with him, to this, dear Ants, Gemini's real response: "First off, this is exactly why you donโ€™t let an AI tell you what a human human business owner is going to do." And then again... "You did the right thing. Don't let a chatbot scare you out of your worth before the founder even has a chance to read your email. You gave him options, you backed it up with data, and you positioned yourself beautifully." WT-actual-F... ????? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ™ƒ Also... "human human business?" It lost its mind!!!

There have been conspiracies that Google's AI is sentient and this doesn't help with the accusations ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€
How would you make $100 from your newsletter
I had the Monetization Q&A this morning. It was a small group (3 people aside from me) so we had fun just casually chatting, bouncing off ideas, and then sharing our mutual dislike of Substack (or rather the people who run it). In any case, @Megan Justice, who is happy with her tax filing business, but also has a newsletter on the side for people who are interested in learning about Megan's work, mentioned she'd like to make at least $100 consistently from her newsletter. This was humbling and reminded me of a book I read recently by Travis Sago, Fans & Fortunes Formula. In it, Travis reminds us that while we, the expert business owners, often look at the bigger picture (how to make six figures), our audience isn't necessarily there. Like Megan... she's not trying to make a six-figure blogging business. She already has a successful business that keeps her busy... but she also enjoys having her newsletter on the side, and thinks it would be nice to make some money off it. So... my question to all of you: How would you make $100 consistently (say every week) from a small newsletter? I have my ideas that I shared with Megan, but I'd love to crowdsource a few if you have thoughts?

I was thinking about something similar the other day. This month has been my best by far in my newsletter and I was thinking that if I wanted to keep this up, I'd need: - New Offers - Or new people Ideally both.
Guest Posting: Good or Bad?
After a very, very long time, I published a guest post on The Side Blogger. This whole thing came about in a weird turn of events: Lib (the person who wrote it), made a LinkedIn post asking if anyone would like a high-quality guest post. I didn't know Lib at the time, but I saw @Lex Roman jump in the comments and go all "me me me." And because I trust Lex and know they've been publishing guest posts on their site Revenue Rulebreaker for some time (I was the first to publish one on Revenue Rulebreaker, in fact), I also went me me me... Anyway, the point is, I'm happy with how this turned out. And I would like to do more of these. However, I've tried to make it work in the past, but it failed miserably. Not everyone turned in quality work, and it ended up being more work than what I signed up for. So I'm understandably a little concerned. I was also paying a fixed amount for articles, and that attracted all sorts of wrong-fit people. So, now I'm wondering how to make it worthwhile for both parties. One option would be to pay them a fixed amount as I did before, and the other would be to do a JV-style thing where I promote them to my list in exchange for a quality article. Anyway... lotsa thoughts around this. I guess my question is... has anyone here accepted or contributed to another website? Was it worthwhile? And what would be your ideal form of compensation? A fixed payment or a JV style thing?

I remember this being a solid way to start as a copywriter in the past. I remember pitching a few blogs before hopping on upwork and there was a blogger that wanted me to write for them but had freezed his blog budget so we put it on hold. After a few months he told me he was closing down the business ๐Ÿ˜” In terms of compensation what feels ideal is some money + you're allowed a bio and/or a certain amount of links to your website
What are you working on?
What are you doing this week? Any offers, posts, lead magnets, client work? As for me, I'm trying to wrap up some of the bonuses I promised to my brand new yearly Vault members, writing the first Medium story in a while, and prepping for the offer workshop I'm doing on Thursday. Share yours? ๐Ÿ‘‡

@Maliha M It's built for freelancers. You give it some information about what you do, what clients you're looking for, and what your portfolio is. Then, it hops into upwork every few minutes, checks for new jobs that could fit you. If it's a good fit, it sends you a message on Telegram with a fit rank, gives you the reason why it's a good fit, and gives you a proposal recommendation based on principles I've learned plus the freelancer's unique experience and portfolio. And it responds to feedback in real time if you want to expand your job pool or search a certain keyword or modify the generated proposals etc so it becomes better by the day

@Maliha M Same! Doomscrolling upwork is no fun ๐Ÿ˜… Will sure do, thank you!
Multiple subscriptions...?
I have a lot of respect for folks who run multiple subscriptions. One is hard enough.... But some people do it pretty well. Like... look at Travis Sago. I talked about him a few times recently, and even mentioned one of his books in my emails... Fans and Fortunes Formula... which inspired me to create some of my own recent low-risk, low-effort, quick win offers, which I'll be workshopping with you guys on the 21st (sign up here if you haven't yet, btw.) Now, Travis runs multiple subscriptions simultaneously, and somehow that works. In fact, I think he has offer overlaps, AND some people may even subscribe to at least two Skool groups.... Anyway, the idea of multiple subscriptions has been bouncing around in my head, and I needed an outlet, so here you go. I personally do not have the bandwidth to create a second subscription under the same business, not yet, anyway. But I was thinking if it would be worthwhile to maybe consider a separate subscription, outside of The Side Blogger. Speaking of subscriptions... I've also been reading a book called Retention Economics by a guy named Thomas Lalas (who is, for some reason, a member of the Vault... probably because he wanted to support my business... oh well...๐Ÿ™ƒ)... and it has me daydreaming about multiple subscriptions.... I'm also wondering if I should ask him to come have a chat with my members about subscriptions and retentions... no promises tho... considering I haven't even talked to him, and he may very well not want to... but yeah, anyway... just thinking out loud. All that said... are there any of you who already have a membership or subscription business? If not, are you planning to start one? And if you already do, thoughts on multiple subscriptions???
