So this happened yesterday. The CEO of a company that just raised $100M messages me on LinkedIn out of nowhere. Not "hey let's connect." Not a pitch. He opens with: "Hi Alex, your background caught my attention. I'm the CEO of Inkitt and we produce AI-native film across sci-fi, superhero and romance stories. I'm hiring a Producer Editor to take scripts to final cut, shaping pacing and emotional continuity. Would love to connect!" That's Ali Albazaz. Inkitt is the real deal — millions of readers, stories that get published on Galatea, then turned into shows on CandyJar. He's not dabbling. He's building an actual AI moviemaking pipeline and he's putting real money behind it. And he found me because of what I've built with AI Filmmakers Directory. Not because I applied. Not because I know somebody. Because the work is visible and it's the kind of thing that makes a guy who just raised nine figures stop scrolling and type a message. I want to sit with that for a second, because this is exactly why I keep pounding the table about building in public and having a real, findable body of work. This wasn't luck.
