Thank you for sharing, Ishita! A long time ago I had a similar dream repeating frequently, just a bit different scenario. What you explained is very common just as mine was. In my dream, something or someone was chasing me but I couldn’t move fast, I couldn’t escape, I couldn’t scream and just when it would catch me, I would wake up… Feeling relieved. And as you said l, my mother had the same dream frequently. Dreams are symbolic, not literal. Our subconscious is messaging through it a need for some kind of release or expression. For me, it was my need for freedom and using my voice. After I started painting and making videos, I never experienced that dream again. For your dream, what I feel, the dream seems to be focused deeply on your voice. (But see what resonates, because it’s completely personal) Being hunted may represent feeling pressured by something you haven't fully faced yet, while trying to scream but no sound coming out may be about being unable to express your truth, ask for support, or fully stand in your power. The little girl may symbolize your inner child, the part of you that witnessed this pattern but couldn't change it at some time in your childhood, feeling powerless at that time. The relief you feel upon waking is a sign that your psyche is gradually processing it. Rather than taking the dream literally, I'd see it as an invitation to reclaim your voice, express what has been held back, and create safety within yourself, as you also mention frequently. It shows that you are already in the process of healing. Connect with your inner child and find out (if you can) when your voice was suppressed and know that it doesn’t need to stay like that anymore. And explore, where you could express yourself more and even show your power. Dreams often exaggerate emotions to reveal what is ready to be healed. I hope this helps. 🙏🏻
