I divorced about 6 years ago after being married for 26 years. She is 5 years younger, I am 61 now. Currently in a relationship and my fiance is 34 and has one child from prior relationship and we have a 1 1/2 year old from our relationship. I am probably working until age 65 when Medicare would start as I currently carry the health insurance for myself and my kids. From what I've read I will get my SS benefit at 65 along with Medicare and possibly a SS benefit for my 1 1/2 year old son along with Medicare for him? If I am married by the time I turn 65 could possibly also get SS for her son and she could qual6as well? She has a full time job.
