Wednesday Bridge meeting
How would William describe uncle jar?
I would love to think he would say that I am a loving and caring uncle who loves to play with him. I would like to think he knows his uncle loves him very much despite the fact we don’t get to hang out very often I also hope he would know his uncle jar would move mountains for him. I haven’t got to hang out with him much or even see him on the phone to much but with what time I have been able to spend with him I would think he would describe me like this.

@Jarrett Ponds Thank you Jarrett. I appreciate you following through on this. I want to challenge you to go a little deeper. This is written in imagination. What about YOUR identity and future reality? 1.William can’t describe you yet… so what are you doing right now that he will one day feel?2.Are you becoming the kind of man a young boy will look up to… or just someone who says he cares? 3.What would it look like to start showing up as that “move mountains” uncle before he’s even old enough to ask for it? 4.What’s one thing you can do consistently right now that builds a bond before he even understands it?

@Jarrett Ponds I love this! Thank you brother!
Winning Requires Failure
No matter how hard you try… You’re going to fail. Not once. A lot. It happens to everyone. Most people never even start because they’re afraid of it. Others try once… fail… and quit. Very few people understand the truth: Failure is part of the deal. You don’t get to win without it. You take the lesson. You adjust. You get back up. And you don’t make the same mistake twice. Do that over and over again… And nobody can stop you from winning. Refuse to accept it… And you’ll waste your potential… …while blaming everyone else for why you didn’t make it.

@Matthew Hults its only failure if you fail to learn from it.
Start Seeing Yourself Differently…
The world sees you the way you see yourself. Most people get that backwards. They think they are what the world decides they are. That’s not how it works. The world responds to the identity you accept. It reflects what you believe about yourself. That’s hard for most people to grasp. They think it’s already been decided… The house they’ll live in. The car they’ll drive. The money they’ll make. The impact they’ll have. The life they’ll settle for. Like it’s all been assigned… And they just have to accept it. That’s a lie. You can change it today. You can decide who you are. You can start thinking like that person. Making the choices they would make. Taking the actions they would take. And if you do it consistently… You won’t just act like that person. You’ll become them. See yourself as who you want to be. Start today.

@Matthew Hults So the shift isn’t just “think”… it’s take ownership of your identity. If you say you’re disciplined, prove it today. If you say you’re a leader, lead in one small moment today. If you say you’re a man of integrity, keep one promise today. Brick by brick, action by action… the mirror starts to match the man. Don’t wait to become him someday, show up as him today, even if it’s imperfect.
