Weekly Pilgrim's Question
A man on a quest towards finding his true purpose must explore his own soul, by asking these mythic pilgrim’s questions. This week, ask yourself: What brings you joy?

Joy for me usually comes when I get out of my own way and just be with what is.. before trying to make it something different.. being in nature helps with this a lot, especially mountain walks and the perspective shift that comes from being in a more expansive space...

@Nic Johnston what I mean is when I let go of overthinking, over planning and trying to get everything just right and instead just relax into a more present state and 'be'.. centred, settled and in touch with a more intuitive awareness... does that make sense?
Welcome brother! Introduce yourself and share something
If you've just taken the King Warrior Magician Lover test, what did you think of your results? Did you agree with them? Share your own insights. You can use a simple format: Hello, I'm from ___________. My masculine energy test results: King (Balanced/Over/Under-Functioning) Warrior (Balanced/Over/Under-Functioning) Magician (Balanced/Over/Under-Functioning) Lover (Balanced/Over/Under-Functioning) Or, if you prefer, just drop your favourite song in the comments... Let's get to know each other!

Hello, I'm from Wales. My masculine energy test results: King - balanced Warrior - over functioning Magician - balanced Lover - over functioning That does feel right to me when I take stock.. useful to see where the work is needed most.. Gareth

@Emmanuel Oladunjoye I saw my warrior energy becoming more over functioning second time round, but I can see why that would be the case, everything else stayed more or less the same..

Loving the reality check.. it's the pep talk equivalent of an ice bath in winter!

@Nic Johnston I like that distinction between creating and destroying.. I'm going to use that as a guiding question when working with my warrior energy..
Who today is similar to Dr. Robert Moore?
By this I mean, who is out there doing talks and books about archetypal energy in the vein of Robert Moore? For example, you could suggest Jordan Peterson for his lectures and because he too practices psychotherapy, so he can reference his work with people as Robert Moore did. Add any suggestions you have below. It would be good to learn about new teachers, alive today, here.

Not necessarily exploring the male archetypes exclusively but have you come across the work of Laurence Hillman, son of James Hillman who was a pioneer in the field of archetypal psychology.. he's published a book with Richard Olivier, son of Laurence Olivier called 'Archetypes at Work' and Richard also does something called Olivier Mythodrama that draws on archetypes? I've also read Rod Boothroyd's work 'Warrior, Magician, Lover, King' and know that the psychotherapist Stephen Gilligan in his book 'The Courage to Love' has a chapter or two on working with Moore's 4 archetypes...
My Quick Guide to the Masculine Psyche
I made this to give my top level map of Robert Moore's King Warrior Magician Lover system. A lot of people asked for this visual to be made into a graphic that could be shared, so you can find that attached too. Just a note as to how I like to think of this graphic. Imagine it's spinning fast and gravity naturally pulling you to the outer side (the shadows). It takes effort (maturity) to hold things together in the centre. When we're at our weakest (isolated, run down, hungover, etc), it's harder to resist the pull towards the shadow zones in each quadrant.

I really like this as a great visual summary of the archetypes and their shadow aspects, thanks..
