Intro
I work hospital security on night shifts. In the gaps between rounds I’m building Summit Core — automation and deal-sourcing pipelines in n8n, plus a government procurement angle I’m still digging into. Goal: replace the paycheque with something I own before I’m 30. What I’m hoping to get here: people further down this road who’ll tell me when an idea is bad before I spend three months on it. Happy to trade notes on n8n, scraping, or anything automation — that’s the part I’m actually decent at.

Hey Jay, welcome! Working night shifts in hospital security and still carving out time to build Summit Core says a lot about how much you want this. The government procurement angle combined with n8n deal sourcing is a sharp, unusual place to start. What part of Summit Core are you closest to testing right now? Glad to have someone in here who's actually shipping instead of just talking about it.
Join Our Second Brain Workshop THIS Thursday!!
Hey all! We are running our Second Brain Workshop again this Thursday!! We already ran it 5 times, and all of them sold out! This workshop is live on Zoom with me and goes for about 2 hours. In those 2 hours, we will build your full operational Second Brain Live. This is one of the most impactful ways you can implement AI in your business right now. It will catch all of your promises, all of the ideas, and all of the tasks you actually need to be pushing, then help you execute much more precisely because we will feed it with deep context about you and your business. If you are ready to build your second brain this week, then register for the live workshop here: https://paretotalent.com/second-brain-workshop For 3X Freedom members, we generated a coupon that gives you 50% off the ticket: 3XFSBW50 We'll be happy to see you there!

I've watched Ivan build a few of these live and honestly the fact that you can just ask Claude questions about your own stuff afterward still gets me 🤯 Worth the 2 hours if you've got them Thursday!

@Erik Isbrandt haha totally normal, most people show up messy. You'll get a full video tutorial on how to prep sent to you right after you register, so no stress there. Quick summary in the meantime, here's what you need: 1. Claude Pro active ($20/mo, the free tier won't cut it) 2. Google Drive Desktop, Obsidian, and Git installed (all free, git-scm.com/install) 3. Your Gmail, Calendar and Drive logins handy 4. Whatever call recordings you have (Fathom, Otter, Granola, Zoom, whatever) 5. Your SOPs and key docs gathered into one folder if you've got them 6. Your single biggest focus for the next 12 months, worth having in mind That's genuinely it. If you only get to half of it, still show up, you build the rest at your own pace after.
Leveling-up =)
Hey guys, Is there a way you can help me get to level 2 to get some classroom lessons open? I tried interacting with publications and being active but it seems that levels don't climb if people don't like your comments...

Erik, love seeing you show up for Ahmed like this, thank you! Ahmed, leveling up here really just comes down to staying active, comment on a few posts that speak to you, share what you're working on, and it adds up faster than you'd think. You're already doing the right thing by asking. Keep going, level 2 is closer than it feels!
Weekly GAINS | Sep 7-11
Hey everyone 👋 It's Friday again, which means it's time to celebrate what you got done this week. Maybe you closed a deal, finally shipped something you'd been putting off, or just kept showing up when it would've been easier not to. I'll be reading through every single one. Drop your gains below 👇

Congrats on closing out the season, Josh 🙌 Sounds like you're already thinking a step ahead, which is honestly the harder part.
Give Them the Outcome. Then Get Out of the Way.
Kasim said something on a call this week that's stuck with me. Delegation isn't dumping. There's a real difference. It comes down to three things: • A clear input: what they actually have to work with — resources, access, context • A clear output: not “manage my inbox,” but “cleaned up, categorized, inbox zero” • Autonomy: once those two are clear, you don't intervene Most people nail the first two. Then they hand it off, look over their shoulder, and start tweaking every step. At that point, you're still driving. They're not. That's not delegation. That's dumping with extra steps. 👇 Which one do you actually get stuck on: defining the outcome clearly, or letting go once it's handed off?
