heute Nachmittag beobachtete die Vögel an der Fütterung. Es schneite leicht und und ich entdeckte etwas abseits des Treibens der Meisen und Buchfinken einen Bergfinken. Natürlich habe ich sofort die Kamera geholt und ein paar Fotos geschossen. Das letzte Mal, das ich hier einen solchen Wintergast fotografieren konnte, war im Januar 2010.

This handsome fellow is Mr. Gimpel, an Eurasian Bullfinch (Gimpel), one of our favorite birds here. He and Mrs. Gimpel grace our Garden every year and it is good to see them back. I absolutely love his coloring and his personality is so funny to watch when he eats at the buffet. He is quite messy for sure. Enjoy Nature and the wonderful gifts it gives us.
