In those areas I usually just knock a bunch of doors at a really high clip and you’re gonna be due to find somebody who hasn’t talked to the other guys yet The homeowners will be a bit quicker so matching that works for me, intro is usually “Hey man, I don’t have a bunch of time so I’ll make this super quick , have you had the chance to talk to the other companies out here yet.” If they say no then you’re cash to go into regular pitch, if they say yes then I’ll say something like “cool, and I’m not here to bore you with a pitch, that’s happened to you 20 times. I just got one spot to fill up on my route tomorrow” (and then go into the pitch from there) Also I’ll tend to ask why they didnt go with the other companies as well to gauge qualification “cool, and just wondering, why didn’t you go with Alta, was it just really bad timing or was it more a price issue?” And then they’ll usually give you their main objection from there Summary (Act like you’re the one who is busy, acknowledge they’ve been knocked before, qualify quickly and leave quickly if they aren’t qualified) Hope that helps
