Hi, I'm Alex, currently based in the US. I've always been around electronic music production, but I've never produced consistently, whether as a professional or a serious amateur. My main focus has been on my "real job" as a software engineer and other responsibilities, especially those tied to family and finances. However, over the years, I've created dozens (if not over a hundred) of drafts and built up a collection of music equipment and software that I enjoy experimenting with from time to time. I’ve finished a few tracks, but they never quite reached the level I envisioned. My goal is to improve the overall quality of my work, learn how to complete arrangements, avoid getting stuck listening to the same loops hundreds of times, stop over-engineering, and build productive routines around my music creation process.

For me, it's cooking 🧑‍🍳 I tend to use a lot of cooking metaphors in music; from mise en place to spice combinations to order of processes. I've had a lot of problem solving breakthroughs whilst making dinner. "That's it!" I say, running back to the DAW, with duck juice dripping down my arms.
